Great addition to a home studio
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The studiochannel gives you great sound with a good mic. i wouldnt recomend this (or any tube preamp for that matter) if you are using a cheap mic. but it makes a great difference with a good mic. i upgraded the tube with a groove tube and it was a lot better. it comes with some chinese tube. the replacement was pretty easy. onboard eq and compression is awesome. very smooth. im pretty sure its the same preamp circuit as the smaller and cheaper TubePre, but the EQ and compression make it worth the extra money.
