The content is quite complete-- even though the maps are 2d they do a good job of telling where to find the objectives while still preserving the thrill of exploration and discovery. The book is smaller than I expected for a hint book, about 6" by 9" . This makes the type size on the small side for my middle-aged eyes, but my kids can read it just fine. The biggest disappointment about the quality is that many of the pages are cut wrong. On many pages the cut is so high that there's an awkwardly large amount of space above the chapter heading, quite a few other pages are cut so low that the cut goes through the text of the chapter heading (see picture).

Put simply, this game makes me feel like a kid again, it’s a joy to play! I hadn’t played a 3D mario game in a long time before this so I was a little nervous, but it was super easy to pick up and learn the mechanics. It seems like it would be fun for any kind of gamer

I seriously doubt that I would have had the patience to find all 900 moons on my own without any assistance. This is a must have item unless you are the most hardcore puzzle addict ever.

The game itself is an immense world for kids. I love that players guides still exist cause my kid would go crazy.

This is actually the first game guide I’ve ever bought. I started to look through and wow, all the stuff I’ve missed, I might go back and use it after I’ve played the game all the way through. Tons of info...I hope I get that much time to play someday! Good for my kid if he gets stuck and impatient.
