If you have seen this movie, GET THE STEELBOOK Blu-ray movie! It has great bonus features and director and actor commentary AND the best part yet... the quality of this movie IS AMAZING! The transfer from film to digital is great! You can see every detail from the film. There are no discrepancies anywhere. If you haven't seen John Carpenter's non-studio interference made movie, where John had creative control all the way through, you MUST! And if you've seen this movie; watch it again in this SteelBook edition. You won't be disappointed. I'm going to get all of the Steelbook editions of John's work because I hear the transfer quality is great!

"I have something to tell you. AndJohn Carpenter's 'Prince of Darkness' is supremely unique and wholly (holy?) unsettling. A horror film where the terror comes not from a crazed killer or a poltergeist but from the anti-God itself. Maybe one of the most intellectual film of all of Carpenter's work. If you're a fan of this director then this is a film that is an essential addition to your collection.

I've been wanting to get this movie for sometime now, but I never pulled the trigger and bought it. Then I forgot about it and walked in to my local BB and there it was. I had to get it as it as it was clearly a sign from the classic horror movie gods that I needed it. the dream sequence alone was reason enough to get this movie. I can finally retire my VHS copy

I love this movie so i double dipped and bought it twice. I own the pervious release of this movie from Scream Factory. It's the exact same movie and features. The quality and everything is exactly the same. Besides that, Prince of Darkness is an underrated Carpenter classic.

Scream/Shout Factory releases are awesome. They have done a great job with releasing quality Blu-rays of classic horror movies, and this one is no exception. I had a crappy DVD version for a long time so upgrading to HD was great. Granted the limited budget & production values, the Blu-ray quality is good. John Carpenter is 1 of my favorite directors, so this is just one of many of his movies that I've recently purchased.

Great John Carpenter flick straight from the 80s… It does not get any better than this… Wait ...it does Halloween 1 & 2 - the originals - But those are different horror movies… This one is definitely atmospheric and great for watching at Halloween time

John Carpenter always puts out very iconic work. I'll admit, this is definitely on the lesser end of that list, but still an entertaing and fun Carpenter staple. Plus the steelbook artwork is rad. Also, Donald Pleasence is in this. Instant brownie points.

I won't say much to give this movie away, but I do think the most chilling scenes come in the form of surveillance footage with a voiceover I now know to be the clip sampled in Marilyn Manson's cover of Gary Numan's "Down in the Park." Needless to say, I advise horror fans to nab this one up without hesitation. Scream Factory's steelbook is pretty nice too.

My son bought this, excitedly. He was agog that this movie was available as a steel book. I'm still not that impressed by steel books but then, it's only my kids who buy movies! This one definitely made my son very happy.

Was surprised when I saw this on the shelf, but was not on the list for that trip, came back the next day, hoping it was still there. Wish that is was in 4K, but it upgrades the DVD that I have.

Fan of this one since seeing in the theater. Had the same nightmare for years (Heh Heh). Good transfer. Solid Extras (for what was a low budget horror cult classic. Recommend and Enjoy.

If you like John Carpenter, you'll love this movie. No need to go into detail. Just knowing it came from Carpenter is just cause to get this movie and watch it at your leisure. Enjoy.

Loved this movie when it first came out and hadn't seen it in over 20 years. Blu Ray has done it justice and the scare is even better now in hi def! Great scary movie and you'll need to watch cartoons before going to bed after seeing this one. Go grab a copy, you won't be disappointed.

The last remaining member of a catholic sect passes away leaving a deadly secret unguarded. The church does not know what the sect has been hiding in the basement of an abandoned church. The church gathers, academics and theologians to study what they believe may lead to the end of days.

This is one of John Carpenter's underrated films. It is very atmospheric and creepy and of course the late great Donald Pleasance is in it. The steelbook case is very nice.

One of my favorite John Carpenter movies. It's very creepy and chilling,definitely recommend it for horror/sci-fi fans.
