I watched this when I was 10 years old and now I get to share it with my family and daughter who is now 9.

Excellent animation, prime example of Studio Ghibli's work. Interesting characters, setting, and plot. The English dub isn't that bad either.

Whether your old or young, this movie is timeless. You can never go wrong with a film by Studio Ghibli.

Its gritty but nonetheless a very wonderful story. Miyazaki fans must have this movie in their collection.

Best Buy is not a kids store BUT good buys on DVDs makes your fun time bearable to the less enlighten.

Best movie from Ghibli studio, a bit violent and graphic so be careful if watching with small kids.

I love this movie, as well as most other Studio Ghibli films. It has breathtaking animation and a wonderful storyline.

If you have never seen a Ghibli or Miyazaki film, this is a great place to start. The animation is gorgeous and this film has one of if not the best stories Miyazaki has told. There's an ambiguity to the film in how some characters seem like protagonists and others antagonists, yet the story doesn't depict them as one might expect heroes or villains to be treated. They are certainly not painted in black-and-white or made out to be unambiguously good or evil; this and an ending that might not satisfy might be off-putting to audiences expecting a typical western fantasy action story. I advise first time viewers to bracket your skepticism and simply let the story be what it is to more fully appreciate this work of art. It was clearly made this way intentionally after all.

This film shows miyazaki's talent as an artist. The art work is amazing per typical ghibli and the story is fantastic.
