This is a really good movie! Studio Ghibli puts out Bangers.

Unlike most other Miyazaki films this one has more mature themes and can be a bit violent. It’s still one of his best and the message and themes are top notch, just watch it first before you show your kids.

This is the best anime movie ever. Studio Ghibli is the best.

Princess Mononoke was the first Studio Ghibli film I saw and I was pleasantly surprised by the film. I was not sure what to expect, and the film took me to places I did not expect. This is a highly-recommended film, but parents should be aware that there is some blood and violence in this film. It really isn't a film for small children and, in fact, many younger viewers won't understand or appreciate the film. The themes of the film deal with the environment, war, spiritualism and so much more. The character designs and animation are gorgeous, as you would expect from Studio Ghibli. The Blu-ray looks great, but it lacks the original Japanese audio. I kept the old Dimension DVD for this reason. The picture quality is better on Blu-ray, but it isn't a major leap, as the previous DVD was pretty good already. I definitely recommend this film to those who appreciate great cinema.
