The Princess and the Frog [Blu-ray] [2009], Cute movie

Fantastic story, good musical numbers and a funny story.

My daughter is 4 and loves the music and storyline!

It's well animated, and a fresh enough take on the story. It also has hands down the best soundtrack Randy Newman ever made for a Disney movie.

This was one of the few Disney animated films that I missed growing up and now having seen it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very underated movie

To be honest, I find a not insignificant amount of the steelbok editions to be kind of ugly, but this is a nice exception mostly because it emulates the original theatrical poster and promotional materials pretty faithfully. As for the 4K, even though this a relatively newer animated movie, it was pretty clear that this was a significant jump in video quality, even from the Blu-ray. Even if you don't get this steelbook specifically, the standard 4K version is very much worthy if you don't mind double dipping.

I was shocked to find the Disney 4K steelbooks the Best Buy released on an extreme sale right around Christmas. I was also excited to find out that all but a few of them are still available to purchase when I went to the store that day. I've always loved the Princess and the Frog due to the fact that it was one of Disney's recent throwback movies that was hand-drawn. It makes a huge difference. The package is so cute and the set includes both 4K and regular Blu-ray discs. I was not disappointed and you won't be either.

Great Disney princess movie. Must have for any Disney movie fan collection!

I already had this movie in my collection, but decided to upgrade! And yes, I tried to compare the 4K to the standard Blu-ray. Animation really shines as the lines are less jagged, and the contrast levels made the film seem more natural. The most noticeable improvement was is the color pallet ; the scenes in the swamp gained a lot in the many shades of green. Yes, I shed tears when Ray(no spoilers). Overall a beautiful film.

I wo’d consider this movie a class along the lines of Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast, but it is a fun movie with interesting characters. The songs are not as memorable a the aforementioned movies but are catchy and toe-tapping. I recommend this for Disneyphiles.

This is one of the most underrated Disney gems that I can think of. Released in 2009, well past the heyday of traditional animation, this is the perfect call back to the Disney classics of old. Great story, great characters, great setting, and most of all, great music. If you haven't seen this one, you are truly missing out. 10/10
