When you hear the rather odd title of this anime, Princess Tutu, you may think twice about purchasing the DVDs. However, it was so much more than I thought it would be. Put simply, this is a fun, magical girl adventure with a bit of a darker twist (and some ballet of course!). Basically, a girl named Duck (who actually is a duck but transforms into a girl!) is determined to find the shattered pieces of her belvoved Prince Muto's heart. However, Fakir (who shares an interesting relationship with Muto) is determined to stop Princess Tutu (whom Duck can also change into) from restoring the Prince's heart. The first volume does a very nice job of allowing the audience to get to the know the main characters and ADV does a great job at casting the english voice actors. For some people, it might be a little too "cutsy" but it is certainly an anime that the whole family could enjoy! Definitely recommended!!!
