Geek came to install new printer. Arrived early but notified me ahead that he could indeed come earlier. He was personable and efficient in doing the job.

Your Technician was only capable of software investigation and attempts to fix the problem. The problem was and still is mechanical which your technician was not able to perform. Your technician was informed of the mechanical problem at the beginning of the appointment. all the software downloads and upgrade attempts did nothing to solve the problem, because the printer cannot get past the initial start up process due to an error code, mechanical in nature. So the service appointment for this issue was a waste of time, both yours and mine. However, thank you for your software technical expertise.
