I like that it is small - like the old Nintendo controller that you use with the WiiU

I liked the way the remote feels in your hands the only thing I did not like was it did NOT have motion sensor inside the remote

We had a gamecube and also had a Wii and then got the WiiU and tried to use adapters to still just use the gamecube controllers with the WiiU. Although certain games you can, it never worked quite right. Going with the original manufacture's stuff is best. Work great, easy to connect, batter life is good, and decent built quality. Only did 4 stars because of the price. Accessories, especially when you go with manufactures stuff instead of knock off, is always going to cost you, but to just have it work, ... i guess it was worth it.

This controller is lightweight, yet very sturdy and durable. The battery holds a charge for a very long time (I've had mine for about a month at the time of this review, and haven't had to recharge it yet). It's a very comfortable controller and has a nice d-pad that feels great for anyone playing retro games from the virtual console. I consider it a must have for all games that don't require the use of the wii-motes or the touch screen controller.

This is the best battery I've ever seen in a wireless controller, I haven't had to plug it in to charge in a month, and that's with daily use for Smash Brothers. The buttons and sticks are excellent, they feel great, and the controller is lightweight. It's easier to hold this than the Wii U Gamepad. It's also easier to find in stock than the Gamecube adapters, and it works with more than one game. No Wii U owner should be without one of these.

I'm always willing to give the cheaper option a chance but once again, the authentic Nintendo controller is worth the price. The Wii U Pro controller is comfortable, well designed, lightweight, and has excellent battery life. A friend of mine bought a generic brand and the difference is obvious. Nintendo also has a long history of well built reliable controllers and this one is no exception.

I needed to pick up another controller for the few multiplayer games we have and I really didn't want to get a third-party one off Amazon so I bit the bullet and paid the $50. Opened the box and was surprised that the controller was smaller than I imagined but it fits well in the hands, is lightweight, and the battery lasts long enough (haven't had to charge it yet).

Some may not agree but try playing a fighting game with the wii remote. The only controller that is truly compatible with every game ( aside from the game pad) is this pro controller. Battery lasts forever!! Easy to sync and easy to get used to.

I really like this controller, nintendo did great compared to some of their past controllers (the questionable what am i even holding gamecube controller, or even better the N64 controller). Some pros is definitely the feel, it feels great and is really lightweight, buttons are easy to get too as well. The major reason holding this controller back is that I wish you could use it on wii games or N64 games on your wii u, games like paper mario, pokemon snap and all. But at least it feels great when playing wii games.

I bought this controller to play some of the more intense games so I wouldn't wear out my gamepad. And I can say that this is a great alternative and it is very durable. It wasnt hard to get used to since it has the same layout as the gamepad and it is very light in the hand. The battery life is excellent. I only had to charge it after about a month of gameplay. The rumble is great and it looks great too. I am in love with this controller.

This is a great controller and the battery lasts quite a while. Definitely enough to get through multiple play sessions. If you're used to an Xbox controller like me, than your hands will feel right at home, since it is very similar in feel, size and shape. But it is lighter, which doesn't really bother me. The only issue I had was the odd button placement where the B and A/X and Y were switched but I got used to it though and it works great.

This is a great addition to the Wii U. Cordless. I bought this not even realizing it had a rechargeable battery and a USB charge cable(that has to be at least 6 ft long.) I thought it would be like the controllers for the Wii you had to plug into a Wii Remote. But no, its cordless, light weight and awesome. Long battery life, we played Super Mario U 6 hrs and Mario Kart the next night for 8 hrs on one charge. Easy to set up.

The wide variety of controllers for the wii u has really kept me from making the plunge. After my wii u purchase and pro controller I have 0 regrets. This controller is head and shoulders above what was offered for the wii and feels great. Comes with a built in rechargeable battery so no additional purchase is necessary. Since my first purchase I now have 3 and they are perfect for game night.

We have two of these controllers and they have a great feel to them with quite a long charge to them. I'd say about 15-20 hours worth of game play which is much appreciated. The controller seems to be mimicked after the Xbox 360 controller, arguably the most comfortable controller of modern gaming. So needless to say, this is quite a comfortable controller to play with.

The good: its an excellent. It 's intuitive and easy to use if you used similar controllers; it's very similar to the Xbox controller. It's also just the right weight. Good for Smash Bros. and much better for Mario Kart 8 than the Wii Motion Plus controller. The bad: It only recharges when the Wii U is actually turned on. It's a little expensive too.

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter. The one thing I have learned is to buy OEM Nintendo controllers. I have 2 other knock off brand controllers that the kids don't use. This controller is everything they hoped it would be. They are using it on Splatoon. Works great. No issues. Spend the extra $15 to get this controller.

The Pro Controller is probably one of the best designed controllers of the current systems. The button layout is intuitive and the battery has been known to last up to 80 hours! I charged mine a month ago and it's still full. Don't bother with 3rd party controllers, go with Nintendo brand accessories for durability and longevity.

An essential purchase for any Wii u owners. Well designed, comfortable, long battery life and rechargeable with included cable. Much better value than other systems wireless pads. However, it has one minor drawback. It is not supported by all games and apps. A huge shame given what a great piece of hardware this is!

Being able to move around the room without tripping on wires or wires that are too short to sit where you want makes it a perfect controller. Feels great in the hands, controls are easy to use and battery life is awesome. You will wonder why you didn't buy them sooner.
