Awesome substitute for a stove.

I have placed rather heavy objects on this very lightweight burner and it managed the weight well. It doesn't tip over if you place a heavy item on one side only. Also, It is pretty easy to clean but scratches will be noticeable on the metal that lies underneath the burner. The only drawback that I have encountered with the burner is that the temperature fluctuates when left on for a long period of time. When I left a pot of boiling water after cooking for over three hours, the water was no longer boiling. I had to use the other burner. Perhaps I used it for too long. Nevertheless, GREAT buy!

Good value, more powerful than many
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This burner has a lot of power. Some others have 900 Watt large burners and/or 500 Watt second burners. The 1000 Watts is great for fast cooking and the 600 Watt simmers well. You can't really cook on the 600 Watt though (just be aware, it's not intended for cooking) and the compactness has it's benefits but you can't put 2 big pots on at the same time.
