Long enough for 6'7" walker. Good overall.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am 6'7" and purchased this for walking. For my purposes, the length is plenty. I have not come near the back edge at all. Set up was not fun, but not very difficult either. On first use, the belt wanted to shift to one side, but I was able to stabilize it with the tension adjustment using the instructions supplied. I gave it four stars because of the lack of detail that it gives you about the built-in programs. There is no visual indicator of what segments will follow the current one, which my wife really misses from other treadmills that she has used. Also... ...there is messaging all over the packaging and materials that you have to go online to activate/unlock the treadmill. This appears to be total hogwash and just an attempt to sell their subscription services since it never asks to connect to wifi or to your phone to verify that you have set up an account. I really think that BB should talk to the company and insist that this messaging be removed or reworded because it is an outright lie. All in all, in my first month of use, it has performed well and I have found a program that fits my fitness goals and abilities. We have also folded it and moved it around a few times on a carpeted floor and this was easy to accomplish.

Affordable, Right Size, Quiet
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, it’s was just me, and I put the whole thing together in a couple of hours. There was only one “uh-oh” moment when I wrestled the heaviest piece into place—I had to call in reinforcements to help me boost it and hold it until it could be secured. THEN, AWESOMENESS! The machine looks great in the room, it runs smoothly, I can work up a sweat in 20 minutes. I am very glad I took the plunge and bought it. This was the affordable, sized-right, quiet but sturdy one for me.

Awesome.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing. Upgraded from merit 725 t plus to this product, i am really happy with my decision. Fast in home delivery by bestbuy must be appreciated. Took me 20 minutes to unbox and almost 1 hr 30 mins to assemble the treadmill. Instructions were not easy but not hard as well. Just press the ifit button for 15-25 seconds to bypass the activation scam. If u want to enjoy the free one month ifit membership, download the app and register using your apple pay. Once you get the free one month membership, then go to your apple subscription and cancel it rt away and u will still get the membership. No worries for getting charged for second month if u don’t want to continue with the subscription.

Good for casual exercise
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For walking and light jogging it is perfect. 1st thing about it, don't tighten the arms that hold up the top console until later in the build. It tells you that, butit seems like others had skipped over it too. It's a good width for most for lighter/moderate exercise and the belt is long enough for it as well. For longer strides it might not be ideal. A 20x60 belt is better in my book. I'm 6'2" 210lbs and for lighter exercise it works. I bought it to help my better half to rehab from back surgery and get exercise walking. She likes it, loves it? No It has a spot for a tablet holder, but does not come with it. The place on the console is too low for us. She's 5'4". The holder would be much better. We have one on another machine. Its a little noisier than high end treadmills. She likes it and has been using it 1 to 2 hours a day. The shock absorption is good. The folding is easy. Lowering it is ok. You have to use your leg to move in the pole mechanism that holds it up. After that, it lowers smoothly on its own. Assembly is pretty easy, but attaching the pole to keep it up pretty much requires 2 people. The rest of the build can be done by 1 person. Having your own tools makes assembly easier. It's good for her, which is the only purpose it really serves.

Great, reliable treadmill for walking.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love his treadmill. I have used it for over five hundred miles and it still works perfectly. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive machine, but that was not what I was looking for. I just want to know the basic workout details. Just be careful that the belt isn't shifting if you are not walking on the center part of the belt. It folded on me, but I was able to get it unfolded by watching a YouTube video that described the problem. I only use it for walking, and I find it comfortable with little vibration even up to 4 miles per hour and with a 9 degree incline. The incline control mechanism works smoothly, btw. My only complaint was that the assembly was less than perfect, as two parts were not machined correctly. But I made it work, and it hasn't affected the durability or use of the machine so far.

I would buy again
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had this treadmill for a short amount of time, but so far I'm impressed. There were not a whole lot of options available at the time but this had pretty good reviews. I like the fold-up option, although most of the time we have it fully expanded. There is a fan, which is also nice but you won't feel much it if you are far back on the treadmill. Lot of incline and workout options available, including IFit program for some guided workouts and Bluetooth compatibility. The IFit program is free for 30 days, then a paid option. Sometimes I wack my wrists on the arm supports, but that could be user specific error- as I workout in the morning and my fatigue may cause me to drift or posture to be less than ideal. You may want some baby bumper handles if you're like me. Overall, I love it so far! I would definitely purchase again. I wish there was an option to write reviews at 6 months and 1 year to see if people loved items as much after using them.

Proform 505 Good Product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome! I read negative review on Amazon, so I researched further, glad I did. This is a great machine for walkers. I don't know about running, since I don't run on it. I was concerned about putting it together, but Googled Proform 505 youtube on installation. Perfect! Patience on putting this 505 together. It took two 60 year olds 3 to 4 hours to complete without issues. We were not interested in the ifit with a monthly fee, so plugged 505 into surge protector then put red magnetic key in place, depressed ifit blue pad key for 30 seconds....and we were off walking .... Delivery by Geek Squad was awesome too! On time, kept us updated and carried it in with care. Zero damage to large heavy well insulated box. We will check out Best Buy in our future.

Terrible
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is item is very cheaply made even though its price is a little on the expensive side. With that said, if you weigh 250, the belt will not work properly and after some months the motor will give out. I bought this item because the specs say that it can do 300lb but in reality the belt will begin to have difficulty moving at around 190lb. The assembly part was also difficult because the some parts do not fit properly as they should.

Thank you for your purchase and feedback. We are sorry you feel your treadmill is cheaply made. This treadmill is designed with a 2.5 horsepower motor which is capable of users up to 300 pounds. Parts fitting incorrectly could be a cause of the belt not working properly
We want to make sure your treadmill is running as it should. Contact us directly at: ce@proform.com where we will be happy to make sure your treadmill is working as it is designed to. Your personal case ID number is: 1-R100411. We look forward to hearing from you.

Satisfied with price and product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had the Proforma treadmill for long enough to comment on durability. I am pleased with the treadmill for what it offers. It's a basic treadmill with a smart option via iFit but I have absolutely no interest in that. I haven't even explored the 12 preset exercises in this treadmill. Maybe if I get very bored I'll check them out, but I didn't get that bored with the last treadmill I had and that one lasted at least 12 years. There are many complaints about having to enroll in iFit to activate the treadmill. I've read here and there that there are ways to get around it. My solution was to sign up by providing my name and email and nothing else. I can't be billed because the service doesn't have any card. I downloaded the app, unlocked the treadmill and deleted the app from my phone. Finished. Over and done. The company will torment me with emails so I'll unsubscribe every so often and delete the pesky emails whenever they kick in again. As for the attributes of the treadmill...The console is not intuitive as far as I'm concerned but details are in the manual. Forget the fan. Set up your own floor fan. The quickness between speed and incline changes is pretty good for a basic model. It moves very little when I walk rather fast. I'm no longer a runner so I don't know how that would affect the stability. I don't think it's noisy especially compared to my older treadmill. Bottom line is that I'm satisfied with the product and the price given that it's a basic model.

Perfect for at home
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Treadmill works great. Bought this when it went on sale. Had another treadmill that gave me nothing but problems so I did my research and found this treadmill. I can tell you that it’s so much better than most other treadmills in this price range. Easy to use. Soft and comfortable. Don’t use the iFit but the programs work great. Speed and incline is perfect

READ FOR ACTIVATION TIP; awful, awful install.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Words can’t explain how poorly packaged and difficult to unload this was. I’m sure there’s still a zip tie on it somewhere that I missed but I got the other 100 of them off. The install was absolutely terrible. Extremely poor instructions: parts are labeled with numbers which makes it extremely confusing as parts are also referred to by their measurements, so a mess of numbers litters each step. It was extremely difficult to feed the power cord through one of the legs and the means they provided to do so had to be modified for it to work. Doesn’t come with all required tools for setup. Fits aren’t impossible but they definitely aren’t perfect. Next, the big red stop sign that reads the treadmill is locked and needs to be activated online. This struck me as strange... how would someone without internet unlock it then? Surely an internet/phone app combo can’t be required every time someone wants to use the treadmill. Thankfully that’s not the case, though they want to make it seem that way in a scam to sign you up for iFit. To activate it without going online, simply hold that iFit button down for 10-20 seconds and you’ll see the screen change and should hear a tone. You’re now activated without falling into that scam. The functionality seems fine enough, which is no small thing of course. However, it was just a headache to get to that point. I recommend spending the extra money for the install, or find a treadmill with good reviews about being easier to setup.

We would like to apologize that assembly proved to be a little more complicated than you had anticipated. Treadmills usually require two people, a couple of hours, a few standard tools, and patience.
You are correct; you can hold down the iFIT button for about 20 seconds to get your treadmill going. We assure you there is no scam and that iFIT is not required to use our machines. They can be used in manual mode, or they can be enjoyed with the thousands of iFIT workouts available if you choose to subscribe.
If there is anything we can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to contact us at ce@ProForm.com. We are here to serve.

Great started treadmill for at-home training!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great basic treadmill for at-home training. Don't be a hero and get yourself some help with putting this together; it's heavy! The tread is configurable with different speeds, inclines and I like that you can connect your phone with their app and various workout programs. Only drawbacks are that the handles of the tread do not move with the inclines and I wish their app subscription cost a little less. You could find equivalent programs for less money.

Nightmare treadmill
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this from Best Buy for $600 (marked down from $1000) and thought it was a great deal; however, it brought nothing but problems. First, BestBuy.com stated that upon delivery, the delivery team could bring the unit up or down stairs; however, this wasn't true. The delivery team would not bring the unit downstairs. (If this is a new COVID protocol, the description needs to be updated on the BestBuy website.) My husband helped me put this together. You WILL need two people. As soon as we started, we discovered that one of the pieces was defective and we could not put the unit together. I called ProForm directly and we did a live video chat so they could see the problem. 30 minutes later they ordered a new part for me. It took one week to arrive. They threw in a complimentary mat, which was thoughtful, but didn't really solve the issue. When you buy something new, you expect for it to work. (Note - before you can call ProForm, you have to register your unit so you need Internet access and you need to be able to access the serial number beneath the track.) Once the part arrived, it took over three hours to finish putting the unit together because so many of the pieces didn't fit correctly. As other reviewers have mentioned, this unit is VERY HARD to put together. A lot of the holes don't line up correctly. It's also very awkwardly designed and feels a bit flimsy. Once assembled, you need to use your iFit activation code to activate the model EXCEPT that the activation code for our unit was "invalid." I was able to use the iFit app to connect via bluetooth to my phone. This is a completely unnecessary step and just a way for iFit to gather your data. If you aren't signing up for iFit, you should be able to press a button and turn your unit on. Also, this completely discriminates against anyone without Internet or cell phone access who may not be able to activate their unit. Once activated, the unit works okay. It's definitely a budget treadmill. It's loud and the motor definitely sounds like it's struggling. I checked a few YouTube reviews and this seems to be very common. For being a $1,000 treadmill, I would have expected better and I will not be purchasing anything more from this company.

It serves its purpose well
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's good addition to your home gym. I wouldn't recommend for the super-intense runner who would benefit from something with a bit stronger motor. But for the average user, this will do the trick. The iFit program provides fun adventures. I bought this treadmill on sale. Not sure I would have paid full price, but very satisfied for the amount I paid.

Treadmill
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. Sturdy, for this weight/priced machine. Easy to use, I plugged it in and hopped on. A few minor hiccups assembling it- a couple of the screw holes in the handrail need to be bored out a bit to get the screws in and lining up the console to the pedestal to get the bolts in took some work. Overall, I’m glad we bought it.
