HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not as much a product review. Well, I received a defective treadmill. That is a story for another day. This is about how horrible Bestbuy's return pickup service by geek squad is. I have scheduled 4 appointments for them to take the defective treadmill back and they haven't picked it up yet. First time no one showed up. Second time they closed the appointment and told me they had the wrong phone number. Third time two people showed up, but returned without taking the treadmill as they needed four people apparently. Fourth time, when four people were supposed to come, no one showed up. Now I am on phone, close to an hour, trying to schedule an appointment for the fifth time. So thought will write this review in the meantime, I must have called 20 times and lost more than 30 hours of my time in this process. The treadmill is still lying in my basement occupying space. my $1500+ is stuck with Bestbuy. I am unable to be active due to Bestbuy and this is impacting my health. Here comes the icing on the cake - I am an ELITE MEMBER!!

Needs more development on the product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The treadmill has a lot of features that you need for walking, running and entertaining yourself as you work out. The screen went out very quickly and you do not know how to reach out to someone to repair it. I researched the issue and it is the number one complaint of buyers. You will also need to be aware of the subscriptions and hidden costs in order to use the treadmill at its full capacity.

HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, we are so glad we bought through Best Buy. Delivery and setup was super simple. The first thing we noticed was that the treadmill is almost 1ft off the ground. It seems dangerous if you were to lose your footing and fall off. Our old treadmill was a lot lower to the ground. From the screen, you can watch as you run through other countries. This is a nice feature. There are some other things that don't really make sense. There doesn't seem to be an off switch. The screen will shut off of 5 mins of inactivity. Seems like a waste. Overall, we are happy with the purchase.

Hope It Doesn't Break
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many homebound gym rats, I purchased some home fitness equipment to keep me going through the pandemic. When it came to a treadmill I did quite a bit of online comparing of price, size, features, ratings, etc. In the end I chose the Proform Pro 2000 because of the combination of various factors. Namely I wanted something close to commercial gym quality, a 15% incline, and a nice interface. I didn’t care for the iFit subscription and I never even activated it, but it seems like everyone is going that route nowadays. I bought my equipment on July 6, 2020 and it arrived a few weeks later in a couple of big boxes. I knew I would have to assemble any product I purchased and that wasn’t a problem. It took a few hours to assemble. It was time consuming, but not complicated. The hardest thing was getting the packages to the room I wanted the treadmill in. This is not something you can assemble in one room and then move to another unless you have extra-wide doorways and a lot of open space. I was able to use the treadmill right after assembly and with ease (even without an iFit account). The interface was responsive and the belt was smooth. I haven’t seen how to dial in a manual workout (distance, speed, time) before starting the machine. I’m used to selecting specifics of a workout before the belt even starts. The way this machine works for Manual Mode is that it begins at 1 MPH and you have to speed it up. It’s just a hang up of mine that I don’t want the stopwatch to start while the belt is at 1 MPH. I prefer the stopwatch begin at the speed I program. After four months of light use the incline motor got stuck (either due to no control signal or a bad motor). I called Icon Health Fitness (I guess this is the troubleshooting arm of Proform) and someone talked me through troubleshooting. I had to download an app so that the person could see what I was seeing because Facetime was not an option. He had me take apart some pieces so that he could see wiring and lights. I didn’t mind, but I could see how this would be a showstopper for people without the time, energy, or know-how to start taking a machine apart. After troubleshooting, the service rep determined it was a bad control board. They sent me a new one and said I had to replace the old one with the new one. Again, this could be a showstopper, because they weren’t sending instructions just a part--relying on your ability to remove the old part and install the new one properly. After fighting with the control board for over an hour, I was thoroughly frustrated because 1.) I had to make a trip to the hardware store to buy a short screwdriver (some call a stubby) and 2.) the screws were torqued so tight I couldn’t remove them so 3.) I had to remove a larger section than I should have to get the control board out. Replacing the control board didn’t work, so it was back to the phones. Mind you, their operating hours are M-F 8-5 EST or something incredibly inconvenient like that. In other words, don’t call after work or on a weekend. The second call required a little more troubleshooting to which the rep said that I needed a new console. At this point I was adamant that I’m not doing any more of their work. I had a hard-enough time with the control board and I wasn’t about to mess around with a large console. They said that a technician would come out to install it once I received the part in 2-3 weeks. That was about 8 weeks ago. Many frustrating calls later I’ve been informed that 1.) they don’t have the part and don’t know when it will come in. 2.) I can’t get a refund for the machine because I’ve had it more than 30 days. 3.) Oh, we just got a shipment of back ordered parts, so as soon as they go through “quality control” we’ll ship it to you. Meanwhile I have a $1500 clothes rack and it takes close to an hour just to get someone to pick up the phone and tell me I just need to be patient. I’ve never been so furious over an expensive purchase as I am with this one. I expect far better service from a company that sells $1500 pieces of hard to move equipment. It’s not like I can easily pack it up and take it to the nearest Geek Squad.
