Good flick. Enjoyed the connection to Wisconsin’s Northwoods where we have vacationed and taken in history of the FBI raid.

I love Johnny Depp. This is one of his best. I liked the location settings used to make the film.

If you plan on buying this movie, get it on DVD. The money will only be wasted on the Bluray. 75% of the film is great, looks crisp. But the rest is very distorted, has bad banding, is pixelated and just looks like a rough cut that had no editing or digital work done. It must be a bad transfer to disc from the master or they just moved too fast to get this on the shelf and didn't care about quality. p.s. The pics are examples of what it looks like. I don't have the tv that the pics are on, I have a Samsung 52 1080P 120hz bought in may and a panasonic bought 2 weeks ago. It hasn't happened on any other bluray or dvd film I've watched on them.

My shopping experience at BestBuy was very pleasant... I received my order quicker than the estimated delivery time... This movie was clear in standard dvd but the Blu-Ray version is too real to be true.... Everything from the audio & video were enchanced to crystal clear clarity to the detail of the wardrobe for the actors in the movie during the film's era... The comparsion scenario is like a Jimi Hendrix song on an 8-track or original cassette tape versus remastered on a enhanced Cd... I highly recommend this movie on Blu-Ray from BestBuy..

Public Enemies is the story of how the Feds try to take down notorious American gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd during a booming crime wave in the 1930s. Good story line from a first rate cast of Johnny Depp, Christian Bale etc. I love historical dramas so I was a sucker for this flick. If that sort of thing appeals, you might also like, Road to Perdition with Tom Hanks.

Primary interest in this film was in locale that it was filmed which is an area we frequent during summer months. Story did not depict gangsters as particularly bad individuals but law enforcement, specifically FBI was characterized as brutal, corrupt and generally unsavory which was possibly factual. Aside from personal greed it was never clear what these criminals ultimate object was. Good acting and recreation of the times.

Awesome movie! Superb acting, great story, and I love the score! The Blu ray looks fantastic on my up converting 4k bluray player and 4k tv. It looks as good if not better than some 4k discs I own. If they came out with a 4k transfer I'd get it, but i feel like its already there to be honest. 10/10!

Never heard much about Public Enemies and I don’t know why! It’s an excellent film; I was pleasantly surprised really. When doing a little research on Dillinger- this film came up as a recommendation. And that is the reason I purchased it. Great film-great acting!

This is a great gangster movie, Johnny Depp is unbelievably great as Dillinger.Great action and drama, just awesome. This is a movie I could watch over and over again. Makes one root for Dillinger. One can't believe the same guy was jack sparrow and edward scissorhands, depp is amazing

I am a fan of Gangster films and this one delivers! Director Michael Mann once again shows he has a style that grips you! Johnny Depp does a real good job as well as all of the other actors! Great price! Best Buy always blows me away with these Blu Rays they have on sale!

I purchased this movie by accident. I thought I was buying American Gangster, but after I realized it wasn't what I thought it was, I decided to keep it. I love Johnny Depp, so I knew it wouldn't be terrible. Overall it surpassed my expectations. It was a really awesome movie.

I saw this once on HBO and It was on sale and I had to include it to my library of movies. Johnny Depp again gave another great acting in this historic movie. I love the old style machine guns , don't want to own one but sure looks great in movies.

Johnny Depp delivers a great performance as bank robber John Dillinger. Great portrayal of the infamous bank robber and actual events that took place during this time. Highly recommend it if you're in to true story crime flicks.

I buy a lot of movies and I only buy blu-ray. Most modern movies the transfer to blu-ray is decent. I will buy almost anything with Johnny Depp in it. Not his greatest, but good. And for $5 a no brain er.

I have been a fan of Michael Mann for a long time. I feel like this film flew a little under the radar, considering the cast. It's definitely worth a watch. And, for five bucks, I couldn't resist.

My favorite part of the movie is when Johnny Depp's character is sitting in the movie theater and a public service announcement is made about him. A great movie to add to a Johnny Depp collection.

Johnny Depp kills this. The cinematography, actors, script, and visuals were outstanding.

This movie was shot digitally and it shows. Some artifacts and crushing in the presentation. Not very "film like" which I still like on my Blu Rays But the story is nice. It is a well acted period piece.

'Public Enemies" is the (highly fictionalized) story of a bit of John Dillinger's life and his death. Overall it's pretty entertaining and Depp does a good job.

The film itself delivers on all counts especially Johnny Depp. The Blu Ray transfer is okay at best as the film looks grainy at times (I don't remember the DVD appearing this way).
