Still reeling from the death of Prince. This album and film were released when I was in high school. Had it on VHS until the tape broke from viewing. Glad to add the blu-ray to my collection.

If you were a teenager in the early to mid 80s, then you need to see this again to go back 30 years in time. Just as good as it was the first time. Sad that he's gone. Great nostalgia flick.

I love Purple Rain. The movie itself was a vehicle for a young Prince. The plot does have some holes, but if you love Prince this is a must own, for the performances in the movie alone.

yes, I said it and proud of it! No really, I was about 14 when this came out and thought I purple was a good look for me...it's not. Movis the the bomb though!

I was glad to see this Blu-Ray disc offered. The price was nice. I had to have this to add to my collection in memory of Prince. The music is great and brought back some fond memories.

The quintessential Prince movie, released on Blu-Ray for the first time. Sold like hot cakes after Prince's sudden passing. The movie itself is a bit depressing, now made even more so.

Love this movie, it was great, he was great! What else can I say, wish he was still alive but recommend buying.. At least we can enjoy some of his music and memory via the movie.

When I was a kid, I really enjoyed this movie. The album that went with the movie is the best album Prince ever made, and music by The Time in this movie is also the best music that they ever made. So, the performances are worth it alone. Of course, parts of the movie are pretty entertaining. I especially like Morris Day.

I can watch it a million times and never get tired of it, lol. I recommend getting a sound bar for you tv if you want the most out of the music during the movie.

An absolute cult classic. This movie is basically one long Prince music video. This is a must own for any Prince fan. Scratch that...this is a must own for any music fan.

I looked for a long time to find this movie. And unfortunately it only came into light after Prince passed away. And even then it took me a while to find it. I LOVE this movie!

Prince told the world his life story... it made you laugh, cry and dance throughout the dvd!!! I know every song on sound track!!! I love this movie!!!

There is a story squished in amongst the music video scenes, but the performances by Prince and the Revolution and Morris Day & the Time are the best parts of the movie.

When I was younger, my aunt took me to see this movie. Purple Rain and When Doves Cry have always been two of my favorite songs. It's only fitting to keep a memory alive.

The opening montage is as good as it gets. The concerts scenes are electric and Prince shows some acting chops. The Bluray has cool bonus features like the MTV premiere !
