Excellent remastered edition, overseen by Prince before his untimely passing. Sound quality and mastering to vinyl are excellent overall, with good midrange tones, and the high end seems a bit "punchier". When played and compared side-by-side with a 1984 original vinyl pressing, this one has a noticeably ''louder'' quality. The original large foldout poster has been reproduced, featuring The Revolution at their peak, with Prince Nelson Rogers at the helm. Reflective cover art stands out, and looks superior to the original. Definitely a quality reissue on vinyl that is worth owning.

Absolutely perfect! I love this LP, if you enjoy Prince, this is a must buy.

One of the all time great albums from one of the most musically gifted artists in history. This album will forever stand the rest of time as a masterpiece. Gone too soon.

What else is there to say that hasn’t been said before? It’s one of Prince’s greatest albums. This remaster & pressing seem solid. Sound is quality with little to no ambient noise or skips. One might even say “this is what it sounds like when doves cry…”

Although I never heard Prince in vinyl because cassettes were the big thing back then, hearing him on vinyl really brings back some 80’s memories.

Purple Rain was the first Prince record I ever listened to. Going back many years, I've owned this in various editions from vinyl to compact disc. This newly remastered vinyl, pressed to 180 gram, is undoubtedly the best the album has ever sounded! Also recreates the original sleeve and poster art faithfully printed on high quality paper!

I was very happy to find this Vinyl Record in stock. I had my mind in getting “Purple Rain” Record after just purchasing a new Record Player. Now that “Prince” has passed away it’s nice to bring his talent into my Home. I have some delightful childhood memories when This Record was Produced. Thank You Best Buy for keeping a variety of Music formats in stock.

5 star album, but wish it came with download code. Glad to have this version so I don’t wear out my original from the 80’s

Made wonderful addition to my records collection. This record brings back pleasant childhood memories. It also bring back memories of my mother who loved music. I listed to it at least twice a week. I have not any issues with the record playing, the quality is great!

This is my second vinyl purchase & I love it so much! My husband finally got me a turntable so I knew I had to have this vinyl. I love Prince & his music so much & I couldn’t wait to play this baby. It sounds amazing & I cannot wait to buy more of his stuff on vinyl

Prince's PURPLE RAIN is one of the greatest albums of all time and the remastered edition sounds great on this vinyl recored re-issue. When I got my turntable, this was the first album I wanted to play on it. Highly recommend.

There isn't much to say about this album that hasn't already been said. I consider it one of the best ever. Every track is a pleasure to listen to and it's amazing how one transitions into the next. Performance, arrangement, sound quality - it's all here. If you are a Prince fan or just like good music, buy this one.

This Purple Rain album remaster won't necessarily make you sell any previous edition, but is an essential listen and can make some people consider vinyl remastering seriously. Plus the album cover is more beautiful, now with a metallic glow behind the flowers, and includes original poster!

My daughter was very happy to find this album after searching all over for it.

I remember when Prince went from dance phenomenon to mega-star with this album, which I must have listened to hundreds of times. Vinyl version sounds great and includes poster that was in the original album. Even lesser know tracks (Computer Blue) sound fresh.

Bought this for my son for Christmas this year. He will love it.

Awesome record and great lyrics! Would definitely buy this record again.
