Basically the best of Puyo Puyo and Tetris. Excellent party puzzle game to play with friends and a decent amount of content to get through if you just want to play on your own. It's a bit redundant if you already have the first game, but I'd definitely recommend for someone who's trying to get into either series. Biggest complaint is sometimes the menuing is a bit clunky, there's no ability to fully customize controls, and online can be a bit laggy at times, especially since most of the playerbase is in Japan.

Disclaimer: I don't like Puyo Puyo, I bought this solely for Tetris. Puyo Puyo Tetris was indisputably THE best way to play modern Tetris when it came out. As a sequel to that game, this game is... alright. There isn't much to this game couldn't have just been DLC or an update to the original and the Story Mode forcing you to play Puyo Puyo is kind of a drag. Not to mention there's competition from 1v1 modes in the paid version of Tetris 99 and a better solo mode in Tetris Effect. That leaves this game in a middle ground that makes it a bit hard to recommend for casual Tetris fans, especially since the anime artsyle is very polarizing to most people that only like Tetris.

This game is very entertaining and fun to play. Fun for all ages.

It’s Puyo Puyo and Tetris so it’s more of what you expect. I would love to rate 5 stars but if you already have the first game, this is almost exactly the same game. Not much was added! Otherwise GREAT puzzle package!

I love tetris and puyo so this game was perfect for me. Me and my sister will spend hours just playing standard tetris in the vs mode. I also love all of the japanese anime characters that are in the game (The game should definitely be played with the Japanese voices on ). The game has a ton of stages, music, and customization options available when playing that add a lot of replay value and enhance the overall experience, which I love. This is definitely one of the best multiplayer party games in switch and is definitely worth the $40 price tag or less if you can get a deal.

Bought it on a good deal on a physical game. Game play is simple and would recommend it for a casual gamer.

Got this as a gift for my Sister in law. She loves it and plays it regularly. I enjoy playing it as well and it’s very accessible to gamers of all skill levels.

Great game though little has been added since the first. If you have the previous, I would only pick this up if you're a huge fan; if not, thos is an easy one to recommend to any puzzle fans or someone looking for a simple family game.

Very fun game! Did not expect to like it as much as I did, since I don't know much about Puyo Puyo but love Tetris. Highly recommend!

This old school game is still fun for everybody, and this one is no exception. Kids love it and we do as well.

This is a really fun game, although the PuyoPuyo portion may be a little over powered when going head to head against a Tetris player. Outside of that though, this game is super fun and supports my family of four all playing it together. It also has AI opponents when not everyone is available to play. It is a super fun game and I recommend it to any family that likes these two games.

Already a great competitive puzzle game. Maybe the best on Nintendo Switch, but its honestly just Puyo Puyo Tetris with an extra mode, more characters, and a few tweaks here and there. It has everything the first game did and a little more. Just for that, this one is the one to get, even if its not that much better.

this is the game that came out that everyone wanted! Cyberpunk? Nah yo, Tetris and Puyo! Tetris is the Cyber part, and Puyo is the Punk! 2 is not the same as 2077, but you can't spell 2077 without 2!

A real crowd pleaser and like that the games last a few minutes (or seconds even). Such a quick, fun, and easy game to keep kids and adults entertained for hours. I played for the first time at a friend's house and immediately bought one for myself the next day!

I always love tetris and puyo puyo is a very unique but fun game combine to awesome sequel. It addictive game that have a lot of variety modes for all ages if you like anime type characters and addict puzzle gameplay. I recommend this game to those type of players.

Bought this game thinking on having my wife joining me and my son for a gaming night. She is not much of a gamer, but she definitely loves her Tetris & PuyoPuyo... we are having lots of fun and she is crushing us one this one!

This is a fun game which brings back memories. You get the traditional Tetrs style or the more modern version which is a lot of fun.

I am glad I purchased this wonderful game. It reignited my passion and love for puzzle games again. Heck, I continued the first game in preparation of playing this one. Woo hoo.

Absolutely love this game just as much, if not more, than the first one! If you even remotely enjoyed PuyoPuyo Tetris, then you cannot go wrong on getting this sequel. It is more of the original, with a new story and even more gameplay options. I came into this series as a Tetris fan, expecting it to feel watered down or lacking in some way, and it quickly made me realize just how wrong I was. I have since added on being a PuyoPuyo fan, and the two styles actually mix really well! The tl;dr version of my review is this: If you enjoyed the first game, or are a Tetris or PuyoPuyo fan at all, you really will enjoy this game!
