I'm teaching country western couples dance lessons and needed a PA system to play the music from my laptop computer and wireless microphone. The dance floor is very large, in a much larger room, so I wanted something that would cover it, but at a low, to mid volume setting. This system did exactly what I needed. The volume was set at about one quarter (maybe a bit over) and it covered the entire room at a level that allowed people to hear the music and talk to each other without having to shout, or yell. I don't know how loud the system will actually get, because I never turned the volume up past half way when I first set it up and tested it. The half volume setting was very loud and sounded good, but was too loud for what I was doing. This is a great unit with excellent audio and built in mixer, but not exactly what I needed. I don't need the docking port for an ipad and I would have purchased the unit that came without it, if I had seen it. Yes, I do recommend this PA speaker system!
