A Corman acquired Russian film premise that is pretty simple in plot, dialogue and pace , takes a bit of time to get to a pretty lame ending and if not the opportunity to see a young upcoming offbeat Hollywood actor it might not be worth it. Still if your like me who loves these off-beat gems and the stories behind them a must have.

Director Curtis Harrington dovetails into a sci-fi vampire hybrid with terrific results. The cast is a mixture of young and old actors with Dennis Hopper, John Saxon and Basil Rathbone along for the ride. Florence Marley is stunning as the title character. An exquisite looking blu-ray.
