Occulus 2 is Virtual Reality, where Occulus 3 is Augmented Reality. I cant wear the Occulus 2, I get motion sick. I can wear Occulus 3, because i can see where I am. Think of it like this… wear the Occulus 3 and you can augment the space around you. Put a paper bag over your head (safely) to block out seeing the space around you, and you have virtual reality.

We had the original Oculus, and it was great. But when you slap On the MQ 3, it will amaze you at its graphics and abilities to surround You in the VR world. It is worth the $$!

The only problem I have with it is I’m not crazy about the piece that holds the headset on. Not very comfortable but getting use to it. Much faster than the oculus 2.

Both have enjoyed it and love the improved graphics in comparison to the older model they had previously. We got the 528G for extra storage and I don’t regret it at all, great product overall.

Yes, it is very expensive but a bargain compared to other sets. The color passthrough and ability to use augmented reality in your space is amazing. I did have two issues, both resolved. The pushbutton glasses space was broken on one side. A return solved that but it's very flimsy plastic. My advice is don't remove the face cushion even to put on the upgraded Elite strap. It isn't necessary. Also when setting up, the Quest 3 was not even a device on the Android Meta app. I had the latest version but the fix was uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Then the Quest 3 was an available device and it paired just fine. The addition of wi-fi 6e really speeds up the update times if you have that kind of router. I do and it's a game changer.
