For a while I figured I would pick up a PSVR2, as I've stuck with Playstation since the original console. However, after hearing that Sony wasn't really giving it the support it needs, I abandoned that idea. Then I started seeing ads for the 128 GB Meta Quest 3S and how it came with the new Batman: Arkham Shadow game for $299 and I became very tempted. A system with a game I am super excited about that is currently exclusive to Meta Quest, cheaper than PSVR2, and doesn't require a wired connection to a console or computer? Sold! So far, I have been extremely impressed with the Quest 3S. The picture is crisp as long as you have it positioned correctly on your face. The passthrough ability is fantastic, as you just push a button and can then see your surroundings using the cameras on the front of the headset. Another push of the button and you are back in the VR space. I love how the controllers light up in your vision when you look at them and the virtual hands move if you have your thumb on the buttons or pull a trigger, and also how you can see a battery level on the controllers that is not really there! When starting a game, you make a boundary that the system deems you are safe to play in without running into or hitting anything, and it can just be a simple circle, or you can look around and it will generate the boundary based on your available space. And it will even remember it so if you start a game in a different room, you will see the boundary through your walls so you can get to it or just make a new one where you are. Similarly the menus that come up will stay in place and you'll just see them off in the distance if you move away. It's kind of trippy. All the games I have tried so far have performed smoothly, with just some bugs, but that's the fault of the games, not the headset. Batman: Arkham Shadow is amazing, truly giving a Arkham series vibe but in a first person perspective. The fact that you get this along with the 3S is just incredible, and will truly be a system seller. Only complaint so far is the Meta Horizon store, as it's a bit hard to navigate to find things on sale. Very minor complaint though. Highly recommend this headset. To the point my brother-in-law bought one, and since there's a referral program, we both got $30 of Meta store credit!

My kids live it. Eat to set up and link to your Meta Account. Games are fun to play.
