Controllers disconnecting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The overall design of the charging dock is pretty good - it doesn't take up much space, it's easy to connect the Quest 3 to the left of the dock and get it to charge from the same adapter, and it's easy to place the controllers on the dock to get them to charge. HOWEVER... With the first dock, even though both batteries showed they were fully charged, the right controller would not connect to the Quest 3. Exchanged that dock for a new one. And now both controllers start up, but the right controller disconnects periodically and the left controller also disconnects (but less frequently). Just in case this is a problem with the power adapter, I've swapped the adapter I was using for the most powerful Samsung adapter I have on hand - just in case the dock isn't getting enough power to charge both controllers fully. But I suspect that may not be the problem - and it could be an issue with the batteries provided with the dock. I like the overall design of the dock and hope Meta is able to come up with a solution to get the controllers to work reliably with the provided rechargeable batteries. Otherwise, we'll be returning this to Best Buy and requesting a refund.
