There are many e-bikes on the market right now and it's hard to figure out which one will work best for you. I'm not going to be the one to tell you whether or not this is the perfect bike for you,but I will say the Lynx is perfect for me. It is smooth on trails. It rides well on uneven dirt and non paved roads and the VPO options are awesome. I have tried Surrons and a couple other direct purchase eBikes and I can say without a doubt this one is the nicest outside of a Surron I have been on. Although this one won't climb up rough terrain mountains like a surron can, it is good for just about anything else you can think of. Can't say enough good things about Quietkats, customer support. Some parts came broken in shipping and they handled it swiftly efficiently and with great customer service.I Just eclipse 100 mi traveled and have no reservations about giving this bike a five-star review. Comfy, fun and legal on trails and when you need to go on land that is less traveled, its down to get dirty.

Assembly: The assembly guide needs a revision. It assumes you already assemble bikes and know all components. Other issues are minor, such as missing or vague steps. Including tips like placing tape on ends of the aluminum shock spacer you remove - so you don't scratch the bike - would have been helpful. You can also free necessary room for headlight installation by adjusting the handlebars back temporarily. I'd also recommend torque values are additionally listed in an appendix for final review/inspection. However, there is no information regarding proper technique to raise the bike. A standard bike mount won't fit (frame is too large), but some heavy-duty stands "should" work. Lifting center frame places extra weight on the plastic assembly below the bike, but after conversation with QuietKat support, they say it's safe to lift there. Note that flipping the bike places significant stress on the cargo rack - it's only rated for 25 kilograms. You'll want a buddy for assembly. Poor packaging design (either destroy packaging or lift the 100 pound bike from top of package) and front wheel installation make this challenging solo. Design/riding: This bike would benefit from a torque sensor. It's very slow to start then jolts forward - even on eco mode. Given the 100 pound weight, this makes the bike awkward to manage stopped for slow starts (such as around people or intersections). I'd share more about my experience, although my rotor arrived warped so my time is currently limited. QuietKat simply shared a video from Park Tool on troubleshooting steps and apparently expects me to bend or replace the rotor myself. I expected more customer service for a $4,000 bicycle.
