The Quip Smart Electric Toothbrush is a very nice toothbrush. -It has a 2 minute timer from when you turn it on, with 30 second intervals. -Has a 3 month battery life! -Multi-use cover which can stick to your mirror -I really like that it isn’t as big in my hand as most of the other ones I‘ve seen. Feels like I'm getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist office.

I wasn't sure what to expect but this is better than anything I expected. I love it because, it makes sure you brush top and bottom evenly as it keeps track of this. It encourages healthy brushing and consistency. This changend my whole brushing experience and I think will help keep my teeth healthier and build better habits. Pros- features like strokes per min, brushing time, top and bottom. No cons I can think of. This is more efficient than any electric or battery toothbrush I've used because of the smart functions I mentioned. I was so excited I've already recommended this to my friends. I think it's very well made and easy to use.

    Simple and effective

I've used a number of different toothbrushes: the regular sort and some rather (extremely) expensive rotary and oscillating models. The electric brushes do indeed offer a very good clean when used correctly, but I find myself really bored just holding it while the brush does all of the motion. The Quip answers that need for me. It's naturally more expensive than a basic toothbrush, but much cheaper than some of the "premiere" brands out there. But with the Quip, I actually control the movement and let the pulse do the extra work I need. I feel like I'm using a normal toothbrush with a bit of extra ooomph to it! The software is also pretty good. After pairing with a phone, I don't need the Quip to be next to it while using. Some other products I've tried only track when your phone is nearby. Who wants their phone in the bathroom while brushing one's teeth? Instead the Quip will capture your brushing stats and upload them when a phone is nearby. And when you read those stats...oh boy! I didn't realize how much more time I spend on my lower teeth than the top. The Quip software really gives you some good info. As for the refills...$5 is pretty good when you consider a decent normal toothbrush at the pharmacy costs more. Finally, the Quip has a convenient cover that you can mount to a smooth-surfaced wall; and the case is good to keep it safe while traveling. The Quip is not a huge toothbrush and that's an extra plus in my book.

If you are used to using a vibrating tooth brush this would be easy to pack for travel since you don’t need to bring a charger. The app doesn’t work well. It got to the screen where it wants you to make the toothbrush and freezes. No matter how many time I forced closed it, I couldn’t get it to go past that. And yes I checked to see if there were any updates for the app, there weren’t. It doesn’t take up as much counter space, since you don’t need to charge it.

This is my first battery electric toothbrush, so I had no idea what to expect. My biggest difficulty was getting it turned on. I interpreted the instructions a bit too literally and pressed too much of the "q" on the brush, once I discovered that the switch was actually under the top of the letter -- well no problems!! It took a bit to adjust to the "tickle" of the vibrations -- certainly not difficult. The brush is preset to run for two minutes, which I have to say results in a super clean mouthful of teeth! The best result was that even in the morning, my teeth felt as if they had just been brushed. The built in tongue cleaner is a nifty feature too! Much better than the plastic "rakes".

    Not worth it

I'll make this review simple. The only thing good about this toothbrush is that it brushes your teeth. I didn't like anything else about it. The app was a pain to download and get going. And when I did, it was overly complicated just for brushing your teeth. If you need all of these features just to brush your teeth, I think you might have bigger problems. lol. The toothbrush holder was supposed to have a sticky strip for you to stick on to any surface, it didn't work. I stuck it to my wall and fell off in minutes. Couldn't get it to stick to anything. The toothbrush itself was small and smooth. Very difficult to get a grip so I would constantly slip and jam the toothbrush in my mouth. Now if you get it wet, it was 10x worse. The motor speed was a little faster than my other electric toothbrush so it might be too much for some. For me, it was ok. I cannot recommend this product, especially at this price.

I kept seeing these at Target, and when I finally ran out of heads for my fancy Sonicare toothbrush, I figured I'd give this guy a shot instead of buying more heads for my fancy toothbrush. It's nothing fancy, and a bit expensive for what it does, but it definitely does its job well! I have very sensitive gums, and I've had no irritation with this brush, and I always feel like I get a good clean when I use it! As of right now, I'm still undecided as to whether I'll continue to use it and buy new heads/batteries when they need to be replaced, but it is definitely something I will keep to be able to throw in my bag while traveling!

First of all Quip toothbrushes come in colors other than white! I love the numerous features and the toothbrush is enjoyable. The toothbrush is comfortable to hold and I like the pulse feature. However the app and all the potential features are wasted on me as I am not logging in to view my toothbrush get statistics.

The Quip Electric toothbrush is a compact electric toothbrush with a lot of good features. I'm honestly surprised it took someone as long as it did to hit the subscription model for electric toothbrush replacement heads. Far too often I've been guilty of using my old Electric toothbrush head for an embarrassingly long period of time - and Quip solves this issue. For $5/month they keep the toothbrush heads flowing. You've always got a fresh toothbrush head awaiting you for a paltry sum. The toothbrush itself has a lot going for it - and what sets it apart from a lot of competitors (aside from the subscription model) is it's size. It's incredibly compact for an electric toothbrush. It's really no-frills device for the most part, which is refreshing. The Quip excels here - a small vibration tells you when it's time to move to another quadrant and that's it - it's not loaded with a number of other brushing modes that I'll never use. The device itself is compact and has an innovative, yet "love it or hate it" holder that adheres to your mirror. Most electric toothbrushes have a charging dock to store the brush, so this is a neat space-saving idea that always keeps your toothbrush at hand and top of mind when you look in the mirror. Speaking of no charging dock, the Quip also has a replacement battery that is shipped with the brush head, so when traveling no charger is required. However, there are a couple of things about the Quip that just keep me from loving the device. One, the size is somewhat awkward. It's more the size of a traditional toothbrush - using electric toothbrushes for the past decade has gotten me accustomed to a longer brush, a small gripe but one that I thought I should point out. More importantly though - the vibration provided by this brush is almost non existent if you apply the slightest amount of pressure to your teeth. It vibrates very fast, but literally any amount of pressure on the brush kills the vibration action at the brush head - you end up doing most of the work "the old fashioned way." The whole point of an electric brush is to let it do the work, and do a much better job than you can "by hand." All in all, the Quip is a great idea but the actual brushing action provided by the device leads me to believe that I'm not getting the best clean possible, or at least as good of a clean as my old brush provided. Also, when adding up the operating expense of the device, I'm essentially at or exceeding the cost of brush heads for a traditional toothbrush. Hoping the next iteration of the Quip is a bit better - once we can travel again, there's a lot of pro's for this device!

    It's a $45 toothbrush w/ a bad app

Was excited to try this out because I see them and tech interests me but, wouldn't spend $45 on a toothbrush unless it was given to me, like in this situation. It's basically just a regular toothbrush with a vibration motor and bluetooth. The head has rubber gum stimulators but they just vibrate and don't actually move. The app for the tracking and rewards isn't great, under 2 stars on Google Play Store, doesn't feel intuitive and sometimes just doesn't work. I also don't like that the top cover has a sticky strip on it for "mounting" but it grosses me out, IDK why. Fix the app to actually be functional and maybe it'll be an enjoyable, semi worth it experience.

This brush is very basic in terms of features but it connects to your phone through Bluetooth and connects with your phone and an app. It helps you like with time, coverage and stuff. This one is also metal which I feel is better then the plastic ones myself.

    Good concept, bad design

I have a love-and-hate relationship with this toothbrush. It's small and compact, but that's where the benefits end. I have gone through 2 replacements of the motor and the toothbrush itself. My original brush worked very well, but the o-rings that keep moisture out wear out over time and don't keep water out, so the motor stops working. You have a warranty with the subscription where they replace the brush heads but it's not worth it if the motor keeps going bad.

There's really no use for this underpowered brush

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It is a small, battery powered toothbrush. That's the positive. It is underpowered, essentially comes with a battery subscription, and is not that much smaller than any of the far more powerful and better cleaning rechargeable toothbrushes on the market for the same price. I really see no point in this toothbrush. It's not powerful enough to feel like its doing anything more than a normal toothbrush, yet you need to replace the batteries every 3 or so months, which is far less convenient than putting it on a charger.

    Constantly breaks

To Quip’s credit, they consistently replace this brush but it seems to break once every 1-3 months. Smart motor breaks, water gets into the poorly designed brush head, it doesn’t turn on. It’s always something. I don’t have time to keep contacting for a replacement so I decided to get a Soniccare. It’s a shame because I like the brand.
