Was easy to set-up and program. Customer service was excellent!

But the new version of the software is not so intuitive. Much better than a rain bird though!

I purchased this to replace my Hunter irrigation controller. PROS: easy to install, application runs well on my nexus5, good interface, easy to use. CONS: no display on the screen. Skip water notifications comes an hour before the watering time. So if you have it setup for 3:00AM, and if it is raining whole day, you will get a notification @2:00AM. , Expensive

This works great. Easy to set up. It pairs with the local weather channel to keep track of the weather. Once you set it up, it'll do everything else on its own.

This has saved me a lot of hassle, connects to your wifi and your local tv station and knows if it has rained lately and how much and won't turn on if there has been rain in your area. Highly recommend

Needed a new sprinkler control for my house. Decided on this one after looking into many other brands and options. Could not be happier. I love how it adjusts running the sprinklers due to the weather.

I replaced the old controller that came with the house and was counter-intuitive when it came to programming. The Rachio was truly easy to set up, and has not failed me when it comes to adjusting watering schedules based on the weather. I pretty much don't have to monitor it, and only use the app when I want to show off that I can turn sprinklers on from my phone.... or when I want to spook a dog about to go on my lawn.

I can't stress enough how simply awesome this controller is. Very easy setup and easy to use. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I had a home sprinkler sustenance but could never figure out how to work the thing. I bought this to easily water my yard when it needs it. The hardest part was figuring out how to remove the old system. Go with the newest version. The old one doesn't support WPA2.

Very simple to install. Nice features for naming your zones and even adding pictures so you don't have to try to remember.

I originally purchased an irrigation caddy and returned it after 3 hours of frustration trying to connect to my network. So I decided to spend the extra $90 for a 16 zone Rachio. WOW, I mean WOW; what a great decision! Followed the SIMPLE directions and was connected to my router in less than 5 Minutes. Ripped the old Rainbird off the wall and had the Rachio wired and mounted in 15 minutes. Spent the next 10 setting up my zones - FINISHED. Now I'm enjoying exploring all of the cool features such as remote access and flex zones (only waters the zones that need it based upon sun exposure, soil type, grade, grass type and the weather report/history). Of course you can still configure to run as an "old fashion" zone controller. Can't say enough - worth every penny! I've already recommend to friends at work.

I recently installed this device in my home. First, it was so easy, "even a caveman could do it!" Second, it works perfectly. What a great device that will get automatic weather updates and time of year adjustments to make the necessary changes in watering times. VERY impressed with this device!

Unlike the reviewer that had a lot of issues not related to the IRO, I check my WIFI at the location (added a hub to get great WIFI there) and had a power line ran. The setup was just as easy as the instruction video showed. Well thought out design on the unit and the wiring connectors. The "flash-up" to link it was pretty cool and fast. After the link up it walked through setting up all the zones, naming them and picking out the grass, water heads, soil type, and hill topography if any. Then it set up an auto schedule based on the weather for my zip code. Not sure if I will join this with my WINK system as it appears to work very well on its own and WINK is still working their development. So for an early review I would say that it is a home run!

We tried this and couldn't be happier. At first I bought it just to have a way to control the sprinklers from my cell phone but it has turned into a far more useful tool. This unit is cloud based and receives weather updates including forecast. Your conventional rain sensor will only turn off your sprinklers after the rain has fallen and tend to be less effective with time. This unit will monitor that sensor as well as the weather forecast for your area. In the past two weeks I have received both text and emails letting me know that my sprinkler schedule is going to skip a day based on the weather forecast saying that rain fall would exceed my scheduled watering levels. If the rain forecast is determined to be wrong the unit will make up the difference once the rain event has passed. You also have the ability to override the schedule skip if you prefer. This unit will definitely save you water. My only feedback to Rachio would be to update the included documentation to mention that 5Ghz wireless is not possible. I attempted to connect 3 times before realizing it may only work on 2.4Ghz. Other than that love it.

Very nice, smart irrigation controller. This irrigation controller does a really nice job of providing a good UI on top of the mundane task of programming your irrigation controller. It also does a good job of monitoring rainfall and not watering when the lawn and flowers already have enough water. However, now that it is getting extremely hot in Northern California, I'm not so sure it's doing as good of a job watering when it's hot.
