The original game was released in 2006, but the game's story and pacing is still pretty good, and this remaster touches up the character models and color palette. Things are a lot less brown compared to the original. The gist of the gameplay is: you (Raidou) follow the directions of your spirit guide (a cat named Gouto) as you track and eliminate demonic threats in 1930s central Japan. Combat is mostly real-time action as you use a sword, gun, spells/skills, and up to 2 demon allies against hostile demons. The game is pretty accessible in that: you can adjust the difficulty before a hard fight, grind XP on enemies to improve your attack and defense, and use healing items liberally. With flexible combat and a kooky story and characters, I highly recommend the game.

Pretty Much Replaces The Original Game

A much much better effort after the mediocre job Atlus did with Nocturne Remastered

You like grinding and dungeon crawler type rpgs this is the game for you. Not as popular as the personas but still a decent spin off.
