This is another one of the great movies based upon John Grisham novels. Both Matt Damon and Danny Devito turn in first rate performances, as does Jon Voight.

I really liked the movie. Had started watching one someone had it skipped so had to buy to finish.

This film felt like an instant classic on first viewing. Holds up to the book if not exceeds it and that's rare. What's not to love? Directed by Frances Coppola, starring Matt Damon, Danny DeVito and Jon Voight. Real life look at young lawyers on the make and the sleazy side of law as well as the underbelly of insurance companies. And who doesn't like a good lawyer joke? A Feel good film without the sap or pap. Had to own this one!

A great story told from the perspective of a new attorney who wins a big case against a corrupt insurance company represented by a big law firm full of jaded, arrogant and corrupt old boy lawyers.

Good for educational purposes, by having a job in the real world, by watching this movie

Such a good movie. If you like the book then I think you will enjoy the movie.

I love this movie but the DVD keeps jumping back to the intro and you can't actually watch the movie as the DVD is broken. This is the second time I have done a review on this movie (second time you sent me a review.)

I rate this David vs Goliath Hollywood movie 4.5 stars. Although it is "formula-matic", it works! Well written, directed and acted. DVD in 2.35:1 format with extra features. It deserves a remastered blu-ray release.
