I love having This product in the car with me. I use it all the time and now can talk on the phone and text with it safely. The install process was pretty easy but I had to call Rand McNally to get my contacts to sync. When the tech took me through it, the instructions were clear, I just wasn't paying attention first time through.
Great product. Plan to go back for the backup camera.

No Manual – this is huge, there are allot of questions that only a call to Rand –may- resolve.
Collision avoidance cannot be run at the same time as the dash cam.
Max dash cam video is 2.5 hours (May change with addition of SD Card)
Cannot zoom in on map at least 2 steps away from max zoom on tnd730.
Amazon app store kills built in shortcuts to built in apps.
You cannot Bluetooth to more than one device
As you cannot Bluetooth to more than 1 device, the optional equipment is wifi – I.E. backup cam and the monitoring dongle that has yet to be released.
QC is bad – units shipped to the Tulsa area did not include the car charger, and they should have. Check your box content before leaving the store!
Depending on how you mount the unit – the mount it’s self tends to get in the way of the dashcam.
The backup cam is hardwired into your car (For reverse and power) You can install this yourself if you wish, Rand suggests you have it installed.
When calling support – although they answered quickly and were friendly and local – they too do not have all the answers.
The hands free phone is horrid forget this is even an option. The caller experiences massive echo. The problem is not much improved using the built in speaker. This feature is worthless.
Each “feature” must be run at startup – IE the old unit would simply load map and you’re off. These are all independent apps that have to be started after each power off.
Battery isn’t great as compared to phones – however is not bad compared to former GPS units. 2-4hours.

Cool Bells and Whistles - Subpar Nav Sytem

Overpriced tablet with a less than desirable navigation system. Upon power up, entering the go to address, it takes 4-12 minutes to establish a GPS connection. Once GPS connection is established, it continuously drops out and goes into "Searching For GPS" for another 3-10 minutes, sometimes never establishing a connection, at which point I have to reboot. In comparison, my 9-year old Tom Tom, 7-year old built in NAV system and my phone google maps all establish a GPS connection within 5-20 seconds and remains stable. Furthermore, when you are stationary, such as stolping for gas, rest stop and even at a red light, 95% of the time the Rand McNalley Over Dryve goes into "Searching For GPS."
I will give kudos to the other bells and whistles, but you have to buy the app as well as a dongle cable.
The NAV system is not reliable or dependable, unless you are not in a hurry and don't mind rebooting the unit several times during your trip. It's my fault for wasting my money, I hope you don't do the same.

P.O.S. Rand McNally

Just like it's predecessors, this unit comes with an antiquated version of the Android OS, ver 5 paired with an extremely under powered processor. Although ver 5 is not nearly as bad as Android ver 4 which is loaded on previous Rand McNally Tablet/GPS 7" screen versions, it's still pretty bad. You still are limited to buying or downloading apps from Rand McNally's own app store which is ridiculously not at all useful and extremely redundant. The Quad Core slowly lugs along, often with much waiting for tasks to complete or programs to open or close. If you use Google apps for almost everything as I do, you'll find yourself feeling like they took all your money and left you sitting far away, in the middle of nowhere with a useless brick in your hand which would be more useful as a tool to bludgeon your own head for having wasted any amount of money on any of Rand McNally's craptastically useless and pointless devices. Sometimes a GPS should be focused on just being a GPS as is the obvious case with any of the RN GPS/Tablets. So, I just bought a Garmin 70LMT! Guess I'll use my RN GPS/Tablet as a paperweight because that's appearantly what it was engineered to be...

We’ve owned two Rand McNally overdrive units and on both units formed dead spots on the screen. We could not type Full locations or addresses. And the unit cannot find places similar or with partial addresses. So upset we spent so much money on these. Won’t buy again. POS!

Purchase this from best buy that was mistake number 1 you can't return this to best buy. The tablet was purchased as a xmas gift and the unit would run for ten minutes then lines would appear and the screen would freeze. Has to be sent back to Randy to fix what a joke
