Hard to believe Ranma 1/2 came out almost over a decade ago. The series was released back when VHS was cool and then on to DVD, but now fans can enjoy the series with remastered video. This is the best Ranma has looked on any release, the picture is crisp and clear it's 10 times better than the previous releases. It's also in it's 4:3 ratio so it's not cropped the way it was intended. Compare this with your old DVD's and you'll notice instantly, it's that beautiful. Viz Media has put out a nice collector's set for Ranma 1/2 and it sure is pretty! The special edition includes an artbox with a 3 disc Blu-ray case and a glossy booklet with episode summaries and a preview of the remastered manga, which is also back in print. The box is red with gold foil that makes the set really pop. Ranma 1/2 is a martial arts/romantic comedy that provides lot's of laughs, sweet moments, characters that you grow attached to and of course any thing goes martial arts! This is a show that just leaves you happy with a smile on your face. The first season is a treat so enjoy it for the first time or relive the series once again!

It's been years, maybe decades, since I had all the episodes of Ramna 1/2 on VHS, and I forgot just how great they really are. This complete remaster for bluray is EXCELLENT! Video is great. The images are so much cleaner now. Sound is great, too. This is definitely worth buying for the old Ranma fan or the younger anime/manga fan that wants to delve into some great classics. Now I'm hoping they do a bluray remaster of Tenchi or Lodoss War! Seriously, pick up Ranma 1/2 Vol 1!

I've always wanted to see this old anime series but could never find an affordable copy anywhere (Usually ran $20+ per 3 episodes). This set includes hours and hours of anime. The Episode listing on the box seems small but there are actually a few episodes shown for each episode listed. Ranma 1/2 spanned several seasons and had many specials. It'll be nice to see if these are also released.

Always enjoyed the manga and did see about half the series at one point. The gender swaps, slap stick, and awkwardness of this series made it so effective.

This is a great anime! It's really funny and entertaining! I do wish they would have remastered or whatever the artwork, but it's still great!

A classic anime series that I never really got a chance to watch now I can in Blu-Ray!

It's great to see an older show still getting love. The blu-ray limited edition is very nice, with a great looking outer box to hold the discs and it also comes with a booklet that includes short descriptions of all the included episodes and even has the first chapter of the Ranma 1/2 manga.

I got this to replace my old, worn-out dvds. The quality of the box set is very nice and tidy. The included book is nice also. This box set is reasonably priced for a complete season on blu ray.
