I was really looking forward to this game, as I have played all the other games in the series. Although it was fun, it did not live up to some of the past games in the series. I missed the funny cut scenes, some of the puzzle aspects of past games and the longer length. The all for one aspect was misleading as I thought you would be able to swap in and out of characters, but you had to pick your character before you played. Also, the length was way too short, as compared to past games, and therefore I finished way too fast. I also missed the music from past games and that you could upgrade weapons automatically. In this game you had to upgrade with bolts , when a station became avaliable.

My 9 year old likes this game. It is challenging for a person that isnt a full time gamer type. I could see that it can be finished fairly quickly but there is various options to replay or update how the game is played.
I enjoy playing it with her, gives us time together since you have to work together to win levels.
I think its worth the buy and time for people with younger children. The characters are fun and engage with each other so its a good adventure for people who arent into super hard challenges.

You can't beat Ratchet & Clank

It's your average R&C game. There are a few new concepts in the game and the multiplayer feature is an added benefit, but other than the minor tweaks, the gameplay is pretty average in comparison to all other R&C titles.
Where A4O is awesome is the 3D. It really adds to the gameplay. The design makes you feel as though you are literally in the game. Not very many 3D games do that. (When I say 3D, I mean 3DTV compatible).

Pretty Cool Game

This is my first R&C game. I'm playing single player, but I definitely recognize this as being a lot of fun for multi-player action. The weapons are really cool and there are a ton of different types of enemies (unlike some games). I think there's a lot of replayability here.

Great Multi-player Family Oriented Fun

I've played most versions of Ratchet & Clank, and while this differs from the tradition series gameplay, it's still a lot of fun when playing with others. I long for another release of the traditional series but if you get this with the understanding that it is more linear in nature and geared toward having fun with other people, you'll likely enjoy the game. While I don't think it's worth the full release price, if you can get it on sale for $15-$20 or better, you'll get your money's worth.

This game is a lot of fun to play in single player or multi-player modes. The game is just challenging enough that you can play alone and not get stuck in 1 area, but still challenging enough that you must think and think fast. I love it!!!

I picked this up on sale and was pleasantly surprised. It's an interesting platformer wih some cool innovations but the base mechanics of the game remain and in essence what makes the series so good. This game is definitely worth a look.

One of the best games in the Ratchet and Clank series, that's' fun for all ages. This games has a great multi-player option for up to four players, a lot of bosses, great innovations, excellent graphics and commendable teamwork. And unlike other reviewers I actually played the game all the way through, and its' a keeper.

I play this with my daughters. We have loads of fun. Hard, but not too hard. Great multiplayer. I got this on Best Buy for $10, so for that much money this is a 5 start game. If I had paid $40 for it, it would probably be a 3 to 3.5 star game.

Insomniac makes the best ones (games that is). I'v played almost all of the Ratchet and Clank games and all of them have stunning graphics, a creative storyline, humor, lots of action, and many weapons. These games always manage to completely engross and pull me into their imaginative worlds. Oh, did I mention weapons?

This is a great game for any platformer out there. It may be a little on un violent type for the newer gamers, but for anyone that has kids and wants to play something that they can see at the same time, it's great.

Picked this up for $10 and it has turned out to be very entertaining for my kids to play co-op! They have played for several hours so far and no complaints. They are 6 and 10 years old. The story and difficulty seems to be perfect for their skill levels.

Worst game in the franchise!

I have to preface this by saying that I am a HUGE fan of the Ratchet and Clank franchise. I have everything they've made for the PS3, including the downloadable stuff from the Playstation store--and I have loved every weapon, every puzzle, and every world!
Then, I played this game.
To say that it defied the laws of physics--by simultaneously sucking and blowing--would be an understatement.
The graphics are garbage (with the exception of the movie cut-scenes). The action is just a step above Super Mario Brothers I (for the first Nintendo). The weapons are boring. The story isn't compelling.
I have to confess that I haven't gotten very far in this game--mainly, because I hate it so much and have zero interest in wasting time playing it.
I played Tools of Destruction completely through, in preparation for the arrival of this game, and I'd rather continue playing that older game!
I'm sooo glad I got this on a Best Buy Deal of the Day for dirt-cheap, because I would have been upset to have paid full price. It genuinely is not worth the 9.99 I paid for it. Stay away from this trash!
Insomniac, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!
