this is a great game. the graphics are next generation and very detailed. the story is great too as well as the humor of it all. the gameplay is top notch and easy to use. even the motion controls are well used in the small parts of the game. the game will take awhile to beat. I am half ways in the game and have been playing it already for around 12 hours. so the longtivity is quite well. also the weapons you have at your dissposal is great and lots to choose from. my favorite is the one thats like a lightining whip type weapon. the difficulty isn't that hard, nor is it easy, kind of in between. Like I said I'm halfways and stuck. you might want to pick up the strategy guide if purchasing this game. I'm sure it will help alot. this is one title you should get if buying or already purchased the playstation 3. highly recommend!!

This installment of the Ratchet and Clank series is in a lot of ways the best yet. Though they dropped some gameplay elements for some old ones in the series, like sequences for controlling your space ship is like playing a star fox game. If you are fimiliar with the Ratchet and Clank series you'll be happy to know their is lots of replay value likes it's predessors. With hidden gold bolts in the levels to collect for unlocking some extra material in the game, to completing random tasks, known as skill points to unlock even more stuff. Not only that but once you beat it your are given the option to go through the game again at a harder challenge, also allowing you to buy upgrades for your weapons and armor. All the extra content makes it easy to believe you will at least play the game twice through before you feel like you have even played it enough. It's gameplay is fun for all ages. The violence is all against monsters and robots as well as very cartoony so it's far from inapropriate for any age. The humor is fun for all ages, with lots and lots of funny moments. Though the story is a little light, it is still compelling enough to keep you going though the game without a dull moment. It's about friends serching for answers and standing up for what's right in a sense. Cool new additions to the controls are the use of the sixaxis controller. Meaning that the way your tilt your controller decides how you glide when you use clanks new wing arms ability. As well as it's used for solving series of puzzles you are given when "hacking" into computers to open doors and such with a special tool you recieve. Fimiliar to the game is that same idea of a small puzzle to unlock a door thats locked, but, the puzzles this time involve rolling a ball into key lockations by tilting your controller to tilt the platform the ball sits on, which rolls the ball where you want. Sounding simple enough it can be somewhat difficult, but overall fun. I've beaten the game three times already, and got everything in it. The first time through is probably a 10-12 hour expieriance. I probably mastered it in about 30-35 hours. And I still feel a sense to go back and play it cause its so much fun. I would even dare to say its the funnest game on the PS3 with more single player gameplay then 9/10ths of the games on the PS3. All that's really missing from the game would be some multiplayer elements that have been present in the old Ratchet and Clank games, as well as other Ratchet and Clank games have had even more gameplay. But given its the first installment on a new system and needed all sorts of new technology it makes sense that the game would have less content then the last Ratchet and Clank. But at the same time it has more then the first Ratchet and Clank, given that this is the first Ratchet and Clank for the PS3. Nevertheless I highly reccoment this game. Something for everyone in it, and the graphics are really nice on HD. 9.5/10

This is possibly the most graphically sharp game out on the market right now. Like PIXAR detailing every hair on a small, fuzzy rat, Insomniac puts every detail into the hair of a slightly larger, more yellowish, rat... lombax. Like the precedeing games, this one has humor put in around every corner. Not many shooter games really allow you to relax while playing, but this game seems to provide that. There are the usual bad guys who show up, the dunce that is Quark, and, as usual, a clank that has a new modification. People say that this game is too easy, and, well... it really sort of is, but that doesnt take away at all from the amount of fun this game is. I can see myself playing it over and over again, which is what I did. The lack of online doesn't affect the greatness of this game. I would imagine that the worlds these guys created for single player took them long enough. 2 thumbs up to this game.

This was the first game I got for my PS3, and I couldn't put it down. The graphics are awesome, the gameplay is tight, it's got a decent storyline, plenty of humor, and the variety of worlds, enemies, weapons, and upgrades keep it fresh all the way through. This game is a couple years old now, and never dropped in price...until now. At $29.99, you would be crazy not to add this to your collection, even if it's outside of your favorite genre or whatever - it's just an excellent game, and was one of the first to show the capabilities of the PS3.

This game was a breath of fresh air for me. It reminded me of how video games should be: fun, just good lasting fun built with impressive technology. While I didn't encounter anything really all that difficult and the Arena can be farmed for money easily, this game is just plain fun, and while many games lose their fun factor after awhile this game stays enjoyable even if you've played ratchet games before. The weapons are the real star of the game and they don't disappoint. Also, this is a game that actually utilizes the SIXAXIS the way it should be used: in fun, simple ways and also used sparingly. For $30 this is a gem of a game that every PS3 gamer who loves good games should own, and makes me look forward to A Crack in Time.

I must say the Ratchet & Clank has been one of the most enjoyable and quality experiences in platform gaming. This game brings all of that and adds more to an already succesful formula. I was lucky enough to receive a hard copy of the playable demo from Sony yesterday and found myself hooked. The demo should be available for download on OCT 4. The game is simply beautiful and has a lot of cool new weapons. It also utilizes the PS3 sixaxis motion controller very well. In the demo there was a cool event where yo jump off a building and have to free fall a large distance. Here you can use the motion sensor to "steer" Ratchet left and right to avoid flying cars. How cool is that! The game almost looks like a Pixar movie. The quality values put into this game and the very responsive controls will make this game a must buy when it is released. I will definately pick it up and recommend the same to anyone reading this.

Like people say this game is nothing but a pixar film. If you own a ps3 and like platformers then this game is for you. Actually you know what? How about just stop reading and buy this game? This is probably the best rc game out because of its amazing fast-paced gameplay. Great unique weapons, and just overall really fun, don't worry it will not disappoint you. After you play this game it can get a bit challenging(unlike some people say its easy) Yes true it is easy for the first 3 hours but then it can get a bit frustrating. I expected more for the story because that was the main reason i bought that game, but no it was plain and boring. The ending is the worst part of all But overall this game is amazing and you should defiantly buy it if you own a ps3.

This game is just like it has been reviewed, just like playing a Pixar movie. The graphics are done amazingly and you will be amazed by how many things are moving on the screen at one time. The storyline is very well done, and the cut scenes have some comic relief that even adults can find humor in. The controls are done very well, as this is pretty much a pick up and play title. There are also a ton of things to unlock in this game, so there is really a reason to play through more than once, giving the game a little more depth. This is definitely the best game in the series so far. A must buy for anyone interested in this genre of game.

This game is simply the best game the PS3 has to offer it looks like a kiddie game but it isn't adults can play this and have fun.The game but offers many challenges and puzzles and it's fun to play. The graphics are beautiful and the control factor is flawless. The other Rachet and Clank for the PS2 were just as good but this one knocks it out of the ball field. Programmers set a new standard in action adventure games. I feel lucky to own a PS3.

What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said..... Imagine watching a pixar movie only you're in control of one of the characters... thats what this game is like. The story is tremendous, the graphics are out of this world, and the controls are easy and fun to learn. The only drawback I can think of, if there is one, is the relatively short amount of time it takes to get through the whole story. I did it in about 6 hours. To make up for it, you can go back and play it again and unlock additional secrets etc. So its really not that big of a drawback. Seriously a great game!

When I picked up this title I expected nothing more than a simple adventure game that would be used to cut away from shoot em up games (*cough* COD4). But when I did fire up Ratchet and Clank, I got a full fledged animated movie experience. The animated cut scenes were done very very well, with everything you expect from comedy to drama and of course action. And the gameplay made sure you stayed in the action of killing the bad guys with your massive assortment of weapons. Each weapon with its unique way of destroying things and making it seem interesting in the process. The game also has lots of extra tidbits that keep you entertained, some points in the game you actually move the controller around to "shake your booty" in order to pass through doors. Or you use the controller to move a marble in order to solve puzzles to open doors. I recommend this game to anyone. After playing I really felt as if I had played through a Pixar movie.

Since Naughty Dog left Crash bandicoot years back, the PlayStation brand lacked an all ages mascot whose personality was eclipsed only by the quality of their games. Ratchet and Clank fit that bill. Now, with their debut on PS3, it's even easier to see why developer Insomniac is being recognized as one of the premiere developers in the industry. 'Ratchet and Clank Future' is fun from start to finish, and anyone who enjoys a good game will certainly get into it. The focus of the series has always been the weapons Ratchet uses, and this game does not disappoint. Its variety of weapons, and the uniqueness of each one, points to the desire of Insomniac to deliever a great experience for the gamer. As far as the graphics and the animation are concerned, it's top notch. It's similar to watching a Disney/Pixar movie while you're playing because of the seemlessness of the graphics. A great experience for gamers of any age.

I have always been a big fan of the Rachet & Clank series since Playstation2. This game is visual an open world of adventure. Its exceeded my wildest dreams. Man I'm just blow away by what I see plus how this game plays out. Not it doesn't seem that the game is a bit easy, but the game is so fun that it doesnt matter. The new weapson are pretty fun. So get it!

This is another fantastic game in the long-running Ratchet & Clank franchise, and the duo's PlayStation 3 debut does not dissapoint! The game play is excellent, as is the voice acting and storytelling, and the graphics have totally evolved from the old PlayStation 2 games. Go out and get this game today! You will not be sorry!

This is a great game for people of any age, the looks look unreal thanks to the ps3 and the story line was well thought out. The weps are cool how u can upgrade them and what not this game is very enjoyable

Ratchet and Clank Future is by my standards, one of the greatest games on the market. The production values are through the roof! It's an action-platformer with light RPG elements, being very fun and easy to get into. The story is cool and there's plenty of humor scattered throughout the game. The voice acting and visuals are top notch. The game does have replay value, especially since it's short (about 10 hours) and there's a few extras that can be obtained on a second playthrough. If you own a PS3, you don't want to miss out on this game. It's one of those few games that area worth the $60.

This game is as good as it gets. The developer, Insomniac, is one of the best around. Their first PS3 title is Resistance, Fall of Man (RFOM), which is awesome, and this is their 2nd title; can't wait for their next one. Not only are the graphics amazing, the ultra busy backgrounds make sense and integrate into the game. The controls are tight, game is varied, and its a pleasure to play. I highly recomend it. I play fps most of the time, but this is a "family game" that my daughter can watch :) Its better than 98% of cartoons out there except for the highest budget ones...

This is just flat-out fun game to play. The graphics are excellent, the sound is good, and the controls are precise. There is enough variety of gameplay and unlockable items and features to keep you playing until you get 'em all. I own all the previous games in this series and they are all among the top games in the genre. It's not a bloody, gory, over-the-top killing spree like some games, but it's fun to play and really shows off some of what the PS3 is capable of. I've beat it twice now and it's just as fun the second time with more enemies and a higher skill level.

Not really to much to write about this game. The graphics are some of the best graphics I have ever seen in my life, and the controls and menus are great. The game is extremely fun, and definitely in the top 3 of my favoite games I have ever played. The game is also exciting throughout, which makes it non-stop fun and excitement along with dazzling blu-ray graphics.
