Worth the money for a low friction non rgb mouse pad. I purchased 2, one for me and one for my child.

There aren't many great things to say about this mouse pad, including the supposed smoother and quicker movements of the mouse gliding across it. To start off with initial impressions, the mouse pad was GORGEOUS and had a pearlescent glitter to it that had me in awe. Upon using it though it felt uncomfortably hard when gliding my mouse across it and didn't seem as smooth as Razer hyped it top be; at least not $60 smooth. It did feel more free when gaming on it but to once again reiterate it was not $60 worthy. I would wait for a possible sale on it in the distant future (being that it is new) when more negative/honest reviews are in.

Chews up PTFE feet & wears down in 3 weeks

Warning: This mouse mat will chew up PTFE feet and ruin both it and your mouse. Buyer beware. I'm a Razer fan, and love hard mouse pads. The problem, of course, is that over time they wear out—my Sphex V2 wore out, then my Destructor, and most recently, Invicta. Wearing a pad out usually takes me a year, maybe 18 months—and I'm able to flip the mat 180 degrees and continue using the "less traveled" side to extend it's lifetime. With all that said, the Acari has a new, abrasive-type finish which enables it to have some of the best glide characteristics in a plastic mat ever achieved, but the attributes that make this possible also chews up PTFE mice skates very, very rapidly. Unfortunately, this has two negative effects: First, the PTFE fragments/bits become "embedded" within that finish, which is virtually unfixable—I couldn't clean it off with water, mild soap and scrubbing—but wearing down your mice skates also puts you in the position of needing to replace them rapidly, lest you drag the plastic body of the mouse over the mat, which leads to drag, scratches, and other (obviously) undesirable effects, ruining both your mouse and your mat. The worst part of this situation is the speed at which it will wear down your mouse feet; I owned this product for only 3 weeks before noticing a significant performance degradation in the area I use the mouse in. It's not sticky, but the glide is diminished, resulting in stuttery, non-smooth action. It doesn't matter if you use this for gaming, productivity, or both; this feels bad, and it absolutely should not happen this fast. I'm going to try ordering a Manticor (aluminum) online and see if it holds up better. I've never tried one. I also need to try to find a third-party vendor for mouse skates, as Razer (apparently?) doesn't sell replacements. Caveat Emptor, you WILL regret this purchase unless you're using ceramic mouse skates.
