I've been hunting for a mouse to replace my old MX518 for about 3 years now, I know they made a new version of it but I was simply ready for a change. I knew I wanted to "Downshift" feature on my new mouse. I started this search with the Logitech G403 that doesn't have a DS trigger and a couple of Corsair Mice that do that I didn't like at all. The M65 Pro RGB and the Iron Claw Wireless were the two I tried from Corsair. Don't get me wrong they were very nice mice but just not right for me. Anyway the Basilisk has the "Sniper" button which temporarily downshifts your in-game DPI settings to make it easier to acquire and hold your targets at long range. The location of this side mounted switch is perfect for me and easily triggered via my thumb in it's natural/comfortable placement on the mouse. Something that wasn't nearly as well placed on the G502, (again for me at least), another amazing mouse that just wasn't right for me. My grips is a mixture of claw and palm biased a little more towards palm. The placement of the downshift trigger was forcing me to re-grip to be able to use it and making my hand sit far to forward on the mouse to maintain accurate control. With the Basilisk it is just ready to use and rests under the tip of my thumb while using my normal grip. The Basilisk is even more comfortable in my hand than my MX518 that I used for over 10 years is, the palm swell is a bit higher on the Basilisk. Here's to hoping this one lasts as long as my beloved 518 or at least until the price of the Basilisk Ultimate Wireless comes down to less than the price of a low end graphics card...

It is a mouse with 16000Dpi and very fast and comfy for hands.

Quick response. Good grip. The settings for different DPI makes it easy to play for different games.

the shape makes it very comfortable to hold, though the weight of it took some getting used to for me. the interchangeable switch on the side is really nice as well so it's not in the way of the buttons. having the dpi buttons on top makes it easy to switch between. the 2 extra buttons on the side work perfectly for me, and i can easily press both at the same time with my thumb.

Great wired gaming mouse, but after a year of hard gaming and daily usage, it started to fall apart and a key was sticking. That being said, it was used by a younger gamer as his daily mouse and he is super hard on things, so I'm impressed that it lasted that long and that's saying something! Great color changing mouse, easy to use software to allow you to program features, traditional Razer interface, software is downloadable from their website. If you have a tough gamer, then I recommend purchasing the 2 year accidental warranty coverage from Best Buy. All in all, a great purchase for the money. No latency!

My son wanted a better mouse for his PC gaming and he really loves the setup and ability to customize everything about it. This mouse has a very extensive program to customize it to whatever game you are playing and it will automatically switch to that setup for you. He would recommend this to anyone looking to update their online gaming abilities and be a better player.

Firstly i have small hands so other gaming mice i have an issue with because it is difficult to reach any extra buttons. This mouse however, has everything in the perfect spot. Not to mention it is the most comfortable mouse i have ever used. All of that along with the fully customizable options makes this easily the right choice and at an amazing price.

Very, responsive. There are plenty of other mouses but this one is shaped very, well. The reason for 4 stars is that this mouse is on the larger side for larger hands. Those people with small to medium hands it takes a little bit getting used to. The way it is shaped is great but If you have smaller hands like myself it is a little harder to fully enjoy it. However, for the price it is a very good deal, very responsive, and multiple buttons to set to certain fixtures.

This is a fantastic mouse. I was worried about the white staying clean, but it seems to be holding up quite well even with the high amount of traffic it sees in my house. The feel, responsiveness, and feature set are great. The lighting options are fun also fun as always.

I use the black model of this mouse and love it....so I bought this one for my daughter and you can't match the smoothness of this mouse. It's fully customizable from DPI settings to color profiles. Great job Razer!

Very lightweight and pretty mouse. Comfortable too!

I was using a Death Adder and my thumb didnt feel right. The thumb portion of the Basilisk makes my hand feel comfortable especially when playing FPS and I am sniping. The RGB is cool (but not a big seller for me). Overall, great deal for a great mouse.

Comfortable, responsive, sleek, and great software UI

Having the demo out in the shop to test out in person really helps a lot to determind whether it’s the right fit for my hand or not. I love everything about this mouse, except the grip cover on the side isn’t glued very well but nothing you can’t fix yourself. Defintely recommend for gamers with petit hands or people who like to ‘claw’ grip their mouse.
