I love this keyboard, it is my first mechanical keyboard I don't think I'll ever go back to regular keyboards again. The Synapse software makes it very nice to color-code the individual keys for different keyboard layouts for different genres of games. 5 Stars!

Razor's BlackWidow has many points in the plus column.
Pros:
- Build quality looks and feels like a keyboard you will use in intense moments for years to come.
- The footprint is ideal for those with multiple devices on their work surfaces (i.e. keyboard, mouse, joystick(s), Tartarus, etc.).
- The color palette and effects this keyboard boasts is truly awesome! Coupled with the included software, I've customized schemes for my various games and general desktop workflow with relative ease.
Cons:
- May need a wrist pad to counter the height of the keyboard.
- I find myself staring at the keyboard's pretty lights and crashing my spaceships more often than I'd like.

I have a 55" long desk with a dual gaming setup side by side, which consists of the Chroma full size keyboard and this Tournament one. It definitely gives me more room to move around. I recommend this for anyone who wants a space saving, clean and minimal looking setup.`

The Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition Chroma Gaming Keyboard is my first mechanical keyboard, and it is awesome. I love the way you can customize the colors of the keys with the Synapse software -it makes it really nice to customize layouts for different types of games. The keyboard fells really natural and very responsive. It also includes a very nice carrying case to take it on the go. 5 Stars!

I really enjoy using the Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition with the Chroma option. For a mechanical keyboard, Razer has done an incredible job with the finish of this keyboard from the mechanical keys, to the RGB lighting, as well as finish and look of the keyboard. It's a sturdy keyboard and feels great to type or play games on. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a mechanical keyboard.

This thing is great. Chroma lighting is SUPER Easy to configure and setup. I have owned the RGB Corsair Vengence and the software to control the keyboard and lighting was horrible. I mean the worst, half functioning software ever. So I am relieved that Razer Synapse is a MUCH better solution than Corsairs.

It's a great addition if you are looking to complete a chroma set-up. I myself own other Razer items that are chroma lit and the keyboard just goes beautifully with it. I love how responsive it is and the mechanical keys let me know all actions have been registered. Anti ghosting is fantastic and the Gaming mode locks out all computer main shortcuts so you dont accidentally end up on the start page of your computer. Overall I love the product and highly recommend if you are looking for a smaller size keyboard for limited space. :) Two thumbs up. Also FYI keyboard comes with a really nice case for traveling purposes where you can put other items as your mouse or additional keyopads you may have. Very nice and keeps everything safe.

This is exactly what I needed when I set out to get a new gaming keyboard. I didn't need the extra numeric pad, so the savings in price was doubly nice. The keys are crisp and responsive. Exactly what I was looking for. Oh, and the color back-lighting is super cool.

I really enjoy the feeling of the keys. I wish they were a little bit bigger and I also miss having the 10 key. Using the function key in conjunction with F2 F3 and F4 keys to adjust the volume is a little bit cumbersome since there is only one function key on the right side of the keyboard. One other feature that is missing, which I've seen on other comparable keyboards is a USB pass thru. All in all, if you do any type of gaming and you want customizable lighting effects, this is a good keyboard.

I use this keyboard for everyday computing and the feel is great. I love the "click". I also use this for gaming and again I love the way the keyboard is responsive. The colors are eye candy.

I had never had a mechanical keyboard in all my years of having computers but had always wanted one, particularly this one when Razer premiered it.
Considering I always had laptops, never really got a chance to get it though...until the keypads in this current laptop began to go out. So I said "screw it" and got one and it works fine. Fits perfectly on top of my laptop and acts like it's belonged there all along!
It's gorgeous colors make me super happy and the precision of the keys works marvelous with my online games and my fast typing. Granted, it's taken some getting used to having raised keys versus flat ones, but it's not a complaint in the least. It feels wonderful to use and I feel really professional! Probably the best product I've ever bought from Razer :)

Razer takes a lot of pride in their products, so I had a feeling it would be a quality product right out of the box. It certainly is. It comes with a nifty carrying case for easy transportation, a braided cable that feels and looks like a lot of care was put into the product. The mechanical switches are comfortable despite being a little loud at times. Pair this keyboard with Razer Synapse software and the RGB's look amazing, and are completely customizable.

The box itself is nice and strong, I tried stepping on it to see how strong it was and I had to jump on it 10 times to even leave a noticeable dent. It comes in a nice travel case which is small and compact just like the keyboard. Easy installation for the Razer Synapse(customizes color light). And the cord is nice and strong and long for great efficiency and durability. Also the clicky keys feel so great to use and really good for work and gaming. Over best keyboard for its price.

Pricey but great keyboard. I didn't want to get a keyboard with the macro buttons on the left side, near tab/caps/shift key. Because I knew it would be very uncomfortable for my left arm to rest on the keyboard. The keyboard has a simple look, with no fancy additional buttons, but thats is all that is needed, especially if you get it for gaming. The response times are great, whether you play FPS or RTS or an MMO.

I really like this keyboard. One, it's small so it fits on my desk better. Second, the sound of the mechanical click that this keyboard produces is, for some reason, really satisfying to me. Although the sound can be a little too loud at times, I still like it. Third, It's good quality! I haven't had any problems with this keyboard since I've had it! I highly recommend this keyboard to anyone who likes good quality keyboards with a nice delicious clicky sound.

This keyboard has the beset tactile feedback of any keyboard I have ever used. Seriously, if you type/code/write for a significant part of your week, this keyboard will make you more productive. The case it comes with is fantastic as well.
The only reason I knocked off a star was because the razer software for changing the keyboard colors is not very good. The mac version works decently, but the windows version has some erratic behavior.

Simple to set up with some cool color effects. This is my first mechanical keyboard and the difference is like night and day from the G110 keyboard I've used for the last couple of years.

I went into best buy to find a gaming keyboard for my laptop. I had no preferences on which brand to buy. Best Buy had, very helpfully, set up several keyboards for customer testing. I tried the Corsair. It was pretty good. I tried the Logitech. It was pretty good as well. Then I tried the Razer, thinking "Yeah ok, lets give the 'cool' brand a try.". I laughed out loud. I said "Oh my god" out loud, and I laughed again. Awesome. It was EXACTLY the keyboard I imagined. It was EXACTLY the keyboard I wanted. I didn't want the cherry MX switches. I NEEDED the Razer green switches. Amazing. Worth every penny. The only downside is that I didn't try this keyboard sooner. Would I recommend this to a friend? OH GOD YES. ALL OF THEM. I finally get it now. (P.S. All that and it comes with a hard case)
