This keyboard is a great overall quality mechanical keyboard that has phenomenal feedback and feeling. The backlight has multiple features (though the keyboard does not allow for other colors as specified). It has a convenient USB port located on the left of the keyboard which I like for use with my wireless mouse and all in all I would say I enjoy this product.

When I first bought this keyboard I never planned on keeping it. I was either going to sell it or give it as a gift. however i was definitely planning on test driving it a few days, and now its been well over two weeks and im hooked. Sure it's loud but it is supposed to be. and it feels so satisfying to type on this thing. the razer green switches are said to be very similar to the Cherry MX blues. and the lights are pretty cool too. especially with the software they provide. My favorite part is it recognizes what game you're playing and automatically switches the light settings to how you customized them for that game. or u can just shut em off. oh and did I mention there's a usb and audio jack passthrough on the right side of the keyboard.

Having been used to island key layouts due to working on laptops daily, this keyboard is lovely change. From the weighty/solid feel of the keyboard, to the nice click of each key, this is a great keyboard and highly recommended. Buy the full size with number pad, you don’t know how much you’ll miss it until it’s not there!

While I do game, I bought this keyboard primarily for typing and it does not disappoint. There is no doubt when a keystroke registers and each stroke is crisp and clean. It also has a combined audio/mic cable run which is handy and the keyboard can carry USB-3 traffic neatly which allows for each access for thumb drives and the like. I originally doubted that the keyboard's merits would measure up to the cost of it, but I was wrong - this is a fine piece of gear that I enjoy using AND it increases my productivity by a small amount.

Good keyboard, it's green and pretty, has cool lighting effects, works well, and is designed well. However, I wish it had dedicated macro keys like previous versions of this model did. If you want programmable keys you might want to find another keyboard (each individual key is programmable but then you lose that key's functionality if you overwrite its function). If you don't need programmable keys though, this keyboard is great!

Gave as a Christmas present. Keys are very comfortable and responsive. Back lit keys are a plus

My use for use for this keyboard is fantastic because I like using it when I am typing long essays for school. and also for my little brother when he plays Minecraft knowing that all his hard clicking wont mess it up like it did with previous ones so i do recommend this keyboard to others.

I love mechanical keyboards, the feeling of the feedback when I press a key is just so satisfying. If you're like me and enjoy the old style IBM keyboards that were designed to feel like their electronic type writers then this keyboard is for you. I the LEDs and they certainly make playing in the dark so much easier. One thing I wish it would do is allow the shifted symbols to light up when you press shift. I like the pass thru function because it makes hooking up peripherals easier. The programming of the types of color functions (wave, heartbeat, etc.) I left to my kids and they figured it out no problem.

I had a corsair memchanical keyboard before buying this one, and let me tell you, the difference is black and white, im able to write much faster and accurate than ever, but be aware, razer green switches are really clicky and may not be for everyone

I went into BestBuy looking for a keyboard and stumbled upon this baby. First off this keyboard is made exceptionally well. The keys have no wiggle to them and feel strong. The cord is covered very well and ensures that it will not break. Another bonus to this keyboard are the lights. If you like alien green then you will love it. The different effects you can do with this keyboard makes it even more worth it to buy. I am very pleased with this product and feels like it will last me until I decide I want another keyboard but don't see that happening anytime soon!

Needed a new keyboard. Very happy with this purchase. I like the different LED options for the keys. Very easy to set up for your specs. Only issue I have is that the keys are a little loud, although after a while you don't notice anymore.

This is my very first gaming keyboard that I ever brought, each keystroke produce an incredibly satisfying click that you just want to continue typing with it, the key presses are much louder than avg keyboard. The Color feature is my fav especially when playing in the dark it is very bright so you can always see the keys, macro feature is somewhat confusing IMO but tolerable to a degree im sure I'll figure it out, to sum it up this is an amazing keyboard Razer is know for producing excellent gaming Keyboards a great buy if u want a durable long lasting keyboard.

Bought this for a replacement for my laptop. Very durable keyboard. If your not gaming, and just typing, you can fly at 80-100 words per minute. Just like the old IBM keyboards. Love the choice of light effects. Most responsive keys yet.

I've never really. Even into gaming keyboards but this has changed my opinion. The tactile keys are excellent and there's a lesser chance of a finger slip. Would recommend someone who's getting into pc gaming for the first time

I really love this keyboard. I work from home and needed a good back lit keyboard with a decent angle, normal size and not too many extra buttons. The feel of this keyboard is great but if you are looking for a quiet keyboard avoid this one, the keys click loudly but you know you hit the key. One of the best features is there are several settings for the back-lit function. I was able to use my personal computer to update it to my choice of settings and the keyboard held it over to my work computer.

I have been wanting a new keyboard for a while and wanted to get a mechanical keyboard, picked this one up on sale and so far have loved it. Great feel to the keys, the backlighting is perfect as well.

I cannot rave about this keyboard enough. I love the feel and sound of the mechanical keys. The backlighting is perfect, and programmable. My kids game with it, but it is also perfect for my every day desktop use. It has a cool plug on the side of the keyboard for your headphones, which my kids love. Okay, so do I when I get the time to be a big kid and game :-) . I do not know how this keyboard could ever be improved, it is simply perfect.

I chose the Black Widow because I already have other Razer peripherals for my computer and the Synapse system is easy to use while configuring multiple items. Nice having the ability to customize it as well.

"I would recommend this keyboard for any gamers that are looking to get their first or second mechanical keyboard. The lights aren't as bright as the previous editions but are less distracting and are still as beautiful. Typing is very satisfying. If you already have a Blackwidow Chroma, I wouldn't say that these upgrades are significant enough to justify a full price purchase. A major difference is the build quality and the ease of access for cleaning the frame. Also, just a reminder, if you are using a tournament edition chroma keyboard, you will not be able to use the chroma workshop at this moment. However, the effects that are available in Synapse are still great."

I finally decided to buy a mechanical keyboard and see what the hype is all about. This keyboard seemed like a solid entry point and it has proven so. The response and feel of the mechanical keys is great. Not just for gaming, but even just for typing and when I'm recording music. The customizable lighting effects are a fun way to personalize your desktop and bring more life to it. All around I've had no issues with this keyboard. If you're wanting to go mechanical I think this is a good investment.
