    Left-Handed Gamers Will Love This

I've always wanted a "real" gaming mouse, but as a lefty, I was left out in the cold. After hearing about this mouse, I knew I had to try it out. It was worth the wait. The performance is great, it looks killer, and it is incredibly comfortable during long gaming sessions. The initial set-up took a bit longer than expected. I had to find the right drivers and fine-tune the mouse to my liking, but that isn't unusual. The only other issue is that after unplugging the mouse and plugging it back in, you have to restart your computer otherwise it suffers from lag.

    Great mouse for lefties

This is my first actual expensive mouse. I normally buy cheaper ones which you can use for either hand, but after my last one broke after only a year or so of use, I decided to try looking for left-handed ones. This was one of the few models that was available, so I decided to look at it in store. It's a bit bigger than I usually use, but after a month or so, it works well, and fits my hand. I haven't had any hardware/software issues with it, and I've found no other quirks. While I like it, some things to keep in mind about this review: * This is the only left-handed mouse I've owned, so I have no comparison point * There were only a couple of left-handed mice I found online, so there wasn't much of an option there to compare to * I've only had the mouse for a month or so, so I can't speak to its ruggedness/life yet. That said, I do like it, and would recommend it to any other lefties.

A Good Mouse For Us SouthPaws

As most everyone knows, there aren't really any options for left-handed people when it comes to finding a good gaming mouse. I've always been forced to use ambidextrous mice, which is ok, I suppose. When I saw the new Left-Handed version of the DeathAdder, I knew I had to get one. Unfortunately, finding this mouse at the store is impossible... so you have to get it from mail order, which wasn't too bad. I ordered on Saturday and it arrived the following Tuesday. Mine did not come with any disk, surprisingly, but that's absolutely NO PROBLEM because I always download and install from the manufacturers websites anyway. For the Deathadder, there is an updated driver AND firmware update available for download. So after you order this mouse, I suggest you download and install (just the) driver so when your mouse comes in the mail, all you have to do is plug it in and will will be ready for you. The firmware will: - Minor improvement to firmware algorithm. - Fixed double click issue. One thing to note is... since this was designed as a left-handed mouse, buttons 1 & 2 (click & menu) are already reversed. It took me a couple of minutes to realize that.. but if you want you can change the buttons back. The firmware will: - Minor improvement to firmware algorithm. - Fixed double click issue. Also, the lights on both the scroll wheel and logo can be turned off or on from the customizer. You can also adjust all the sensitivity and double-click speed, and assign function to the two side buttons to whatever you desire. There aren't really any negatives, yet. I sort of wish it had the two buttons on top behind the scroll wheel... but then the price would probably be raised, too. But it's no problem. It's a lot bigger than I thought.. but feels really smooth and glides effortlessly on my desk pad. One final thing... the scroll wheel does have a clicking feedback when you roll it... which is kind of nice.

I bought this mouse (like others have stated) because I'm left handed. I personally have always used a mouse with the left button as my "Click" and the right button as my "Menu" like a right handed person would. The Deathadder left hand is setup with the buttons switched, and even though you can switch them in the driver software, this does not hold true to many programs I have. More often than not a program would automatically reverse the buttons, even though the driver was set otherwise. For those of you that use a mouse in your left hand like me, I would check your games and programs before a purchase. I am returning mine for an ambidextrous mouse today. Oh, and good luck with their support. If you order one, start a ticket now and when it gets to your door, maybe they will respond.
