What a cool addition to a gaming/entertainment system. I was worried that it may be uncomfortable to sit on but it is surprisingly soft. Very fun for watching movies as well as gaming. I also picked up the V4 headset with haptics. The haptics can be adjusted on both products. I would recommend both of the products for gaming as well as movies.

I have had the fortune of dealing with several Razer gaming devices over the years, and have yet to be dissaponted. I have had the Razer BlackShark V2 Console ESports Headset, BlackShark V2 Console ESports Headset, Razer Kunai RGB 120mm PC Fans, and the Razer BlackWidow Elite keybpoard and others. In all cases the Razer products have peroprmed well, been eas to use, easy to set up and all have a very good build quality and feel. This Freyja Sensa hapic chair is the same experience. Qualiity look, feel and build. Exactly what what one would expect from Razer. Set up was simple (as always), unpack, plug in, plug USB, add new device and your off and running. My 22 year-old son is an AVID gamer. He was home for a few days from his job as a US Navy Nuclear Engineer (proud dad bragging, sorry!) and he LOVED it. He said it really added immersion. Me being almost as avid of a gamer, I agree! I won't get into any specifics becasu you can find that on the BB site, the Razer site, and many of these other fone reviews. But I will say that if you want to enter the world of haptic feedback, this is an excellnt choice! End of the day, this is a great choice! I would (and have) reccomend to a friend.

I have been a gamer since about 1978 or 1979 when I got my first Atari. As an older gamer, I see that sometimes people become quite cynical about products like the Freyja, and perhaps in many cases, rightfully so. This device appears to be something that folks at the office may make jokes about by th3e water cooler. However, sometimes, for those of us who are willing to take a chance on something new, instead of automatically thinking it's a cynical money grab. Well this is a product that I could see many believing it to be a bit of a gimmick. It most certainly is not. It is, however, a luxury, but one that all gamers with a lick of imagination and desire for immersion should own. If you hate opening a box with a million things to unwrap and sort through, you will love the Freyja when you open up it's box as it's got just a couple of items and is the height of minimalism. The setup is pretty much attaching it to your seat using snaps of straps that you click together. These are quite well done, with great thickness, but easy to adjust and get into place. Once you do it tends to stay put. I say tend to because mine still slides down a tiny bit, but nothing major. You do need to ensure that this is seen, and validated in Synapse, at least for the first use. After that you do not really have to run Synapse, I think. I say that because I do know that native support is better than just general audio reaction, so I think maybe for natively supported games, which you can find at Razer's site, may require Synapse to run, but of that I am not entirely sure. I will make clear though, once this is turned on, all audio is going to cause some vibration, which of course you can set on a scale of 1-100 in Synapse. I believe it is set to about 70%. I turned mine up to 100% to get the full effect. It's got great thump, going into Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was a real back massage and was super cool. I grew tired of it being a bit much though and turned it back to 70% after a while. It's awesome, but you will need to adjust as you see fit for what works for you. Thankfully you can also turn up or down the effects on the base as well, if you don't want to exit your game. The Razer logo that glows green, on mine, has never gotten even warm in the near week of use. The other reviews say that it gets very, very hot, not this one, so I imagine that issue has been correctedin production. This thing is amazingly helpful once in use, as a hearing impaired individual the rumble of the chair actually helps me in Call of Duty to know when someone is approaching! This is major for me and I'm not sure why Razer hasn't tried to market this a bit more along that line. Last, but most importantly, this cushion is immensely comfortable and offers great support. I have a high quality Secretlabs gaming chair and adding this to it worked wonderfully. This is a fantastic product that I really love and I must say Razer continues to hit homeruns as of late. I highly recommend to all gamers who can indulge a bit of a luxury. However, if you are hearing impaired this is more of a necessity, if one can afford, than a luxury. Highly recommended, I really love this cushion, thank you Razer!!

Setup was quick and easy on my gaming chair. The cushion securely attaches with three adjustable straps. The included power cable is plenty long enough to allow free movement of your chair while it is connected. The only connection needed to your PC is a USB dongle that provides a completely wireless setup. The setup instructions are pretty straightforward, but I had hard time finding the power button from the pictures in the instructions. The power and control panel are located on the bottom left side of the back part of the cushion. Once you download the Razer software, it effortless connects and you can control the haptic feedback from the app or directly from the panel on the cushion. The experience is amazing! I'm already using a Razer gaming controller and a Razer haptic feedback headset. Paired with these two, my games are so much more immersive. The control on the chair lets you directly control the overall haptic feedback, or you can control the individual motors independently through the app. I started using on the highest setting and it really gets your attention. I feel like I'm getting a complete massage when playing. The motors throughout the cushion respond directly to the sounds within the game. It can be a little loud on high and I turned down to a setting of 4 - 5. In addition to the excellent haptic feedback, the cushion is super comfortable and makes my gaming chair cooler and much more comfortable to set in for long periods. I highly recommend for any serious gamers.

    An Intense Experience!

I never thought I would experience an item like this one. Unlike watching movies, playing games, or listening to podcasts, the haptic experience is nothing more than vibrations on your backside. It took a while to get used to, but it does provide a more comforting experience. The setup is super simple. It has three straps that will attach to any chair. You plug the device in and connect the dongle. The initial vibrations were very strong. So strong I had to tone them down below medium. This chair cushion can thump like no other. I have yet to turn it up to the max and see how it feels. Now depending on what you do it will be different. While playing Helldivers 2 this cushion puts you in the action. So if you enjoy shooter-type video games this will enlighten the experience. While switching over to another game like Path of Exile II it felt more normal. The vibrations were not going off with everything going on unlike Helldivers 2. But they are two different styles of games. So for FPS games, it will be much more intense over other stye slower pace games. The biggest issue with the chair cushion is the cord... It gets stuck under the wheels of the chair often. When you are in a gaming or office chair. You get up to move around and such. The cord is a nuisance when doing so. Many times I found myself having to unplug it to unwrap it. I will have to get fancy and attach it to something so it will stop getting tangled. Oh, the Razer app which I wasn't always a fan of got an update. So it was more user-friendly when it came to the Chair Cushion. This is a niche product for the intense super series gamer. This may or not be for you. Just know it will make your gaming adventures much more intense!

Comfortable haptic cushion with some limitations

The Razer Freyja cushion offers a comfortable and effective solution for those looking to enhance their gaming or music experience with haptic feedback. The cushion itself remains comfortable over long gaming sessions, and the haptics are customizable, allowing users to adjust the intensity to their preference. The setup process is simple, as the cushion easily clips onto your gaming chair, and modifying the haptic feedback settings is intuitive. However, the cushion's audio-to-haptic mode does have its limitations. The ability to create custom settings is restricted to only two inputs, making it more challenging to find the perfect balance for different types of content. Despite this, the cushion still performs well with the available options. The lack of additional haptic zones for further customization in the software is a notable downside, and the absence of an auto-power-on feature is another minor inconvenience, although the manual power-on only takes a few seconds. While the cushion delivers solid performance for its primary purpose, its haptic capabilities could be enhanced with more customization options. If you're looking for a comfortable cushion with decent haptic feedback for gaming and music, the Razer Freyja is a good choice, but it may fall short for those seeking a more personalized and immersive haptic experience.

Great Addition to My Gaming Setup

The Razer Freyja Sensa HD Haptic Gaming Chair Cushion is an awesome addition to my setup. The adjustable straps make it easy to secure to my gaming chair, and it stays in place even during intense gameplay. Communication with the PC is seamless using the proprietary 2.4GHz wireless dongle, ensuring low-latency feedback. Comfort-wise, it's fantastic—easy to sit on for long gaming sessions without feeling stiff or awkward. Razer Synapse integration allows you to switch between different haptic presets, giving you more control over your experience. There are two main modes: Audio to Haptic and Sensa HD. While Sensa HD support is still limited across games, it shines in driving games and first-person shooters, adding an immersive kick to every explosion and road bump. I would like to see more games supported in the future. Beyond gaming, it’s a blast for watching movies on YouTube, Netflix, and more, making action scenes even more intense. If you want a haptic upgrade for gaming and media, this is a great pick!

The potential is there, but it just missed the mark. First as a bigger person, it is a little small for my body size, but it did work okay, I just can't have it not he chair all the time, only when I want to use it. For the games I play, it doesn't have native integrated support. So need to work with the sound mixer, to get blend it into the game, which it does... however it takes time to tweak to where it is an advantage or a good addition to the game. Hopefully in time, game developers can add native support for devices like this, and really take it to another level. As for an installation, it has straps on the back, but that is really it. My bigger issue, is despite various ways attaching it to the chair, it moves.. and slides. And since I have a bigger chair (due to my size), the movement was more then you would expect because there is a big enough gap between the cushion and the arms. So I will be looking at some other ways to keep it in place not he chair. Also long term, I can see me stepping or rolling on the cord. Not much you can do about it, until there is some advancements in technology. I would have maybe like to seen a spare cord included.

    Neat Device and Noble Attempt

[PROS] Responsive Feedback: My primary use of this device was in shooting games. Whenever I fired my gun, I felt a response almost instantly. Single and rapid fire were distinct in their feedback as well fighting actions. Simple Setup: Outside of dealing with the Razer software, the Freyja Sensa is easy to get started with. I was able to buckle the pad to my chair and power it on without issue. The software is easy to use once Razer Synapse as has updated properly and installed the new modules. Versatile Connectivity: I'm so happy that this device isn't strictly tied to a dongle. The Bluetooth inclusion made the pad adaptable for using it with games, music, or movies knowing that it's more portable. [CONS] Limited Implementation: In comparison to a DualSense Controller, I wished the Sensa could simulate different onscreen actions better. This would require more motors and/or adding more patterns. Size Dependent: The padding is understandably thin for comfort. However, as a bigger individual, I had to to set the intensity to highest level in order to feel a decent level of vibration. Early Adoption: A new type of device such as this has to gain traction among developer. Otherwise, it'll become abandoned and be a failed project. Let's cross our fingers and hope for the best. [CONCLUSION] The Freyja Sensa is definitely for the gaming enthusiast who wants to maximize the level of immersion while playing. For me, it was easy to setup and fun to use. However, I'll still classify it as a "bonus" rather than a necessity. Continued adoption and future revisions would definitely change that.

TLDR - The Razer - Freyja Sensa HD Haptic Gaming Chair Cushion is a neat add on for the gamer that has everything, but needs to have its cost halved or so to be even close to being recommended for even a more hardcore gamer. Doesn’t do enough to have value. Pro’s - You can fine tune the feeling of the audio to haptic levels. The cushion doesn’t feel uncomfortable even after a few hours of gaming. Audio to haptic is SO AWESOME playing something like BF2042, less so playing something like DOTA2. Hogwarts Legacy is a Sensa enabled game, and the different spells hit differently which is neat, but not a game changer. Con’s - Value is not there. Seems to shut off during longer (couple hour) gaming sessions, just turning it off and on again seems to fix it. You have to have 2 Razer apps to control it, the Chroma App (why Razer??) is required to set up the levels/EQ settings you want the vibrations to hit at. (sidenote/Con for me, I’m a larger guy at 6’3” 220, and it makes my back and rear sweat WAY worse vs the chair without it. If you’re a colder person you’ll be fine I bet)

Non-Immersive and Failed to Fit common chair

The Razer Freyja Sensa HD Haptic Gaming Chair Cushion was something that I was pretty excited to try, but was left with a bit of disappointment. Much like the haptic headphones, they left a lot to be desired. Out of the box, I struggled just a little with the install. Attaching it to my chair was a breeze, but for some reason it refused to turn on when I used a specific outlet. So I switched to another outlet across the room and that worked fine. It was odd because other things plugged into that outlet were working fine, and everything in the room is on same circuit. I have one of the most common gaming chairs, a Secret Lab chair. The cushion struggled to fit in the seat. The back was ok, but the seat only came out to about mid-thigh and left this odd little drop for your leg from thigh to back of knee. It made sitting in my chair a little uncomfortable. In an ideal setup the bottom cushion would have come all the way to the edge of the chair front so that you didn't have that feeling. The power cord was on the left side of the cushion, so it limited your plug-in ability a little bit. You end up having to use extension cords or the like to plug it in going to the right of the cushion. The Razer app immediately detected the cushion and set the cushion to use audio response. The problem here is that every beat, every bullet, ever sound in bg music or voiceover came through as a vibration. This is a jarring, and not very entertaining feature. It's like being at a rave, but trying to sit in a chair and game. The two don't really go together. I attempted to use the custom settings for games that had a built-in profile, like Overwatch 2. Instead of getting a response, it failed to vibrate or respond at all. It seems it would only work in sound response mode. Overall the cushion foam was comfortable and it wasn't totally uncomfortable to use. I just didn't like that it didn't reach the edge of my chair seat, which could be a me thing and not a you thing. I do wager there are plenty of others who would feel the same. I didn't like being vibrated by every sound effect, voiceover and soundtrack hit. It wasn't immersive at all. This was my same experience with the headphones. I'm just not sold on the use case for haptics yet. They have to get a lot smarter before it will be usable. I would not recommend this to others.

This is a unique entry to the gaming market, there are so many aspects where this could be really cool, but unfortunately it comes up just short of where it needs to be. Packaging: To start its in a signature green Razer box. There's no real frills beyond that. Use: Plugging it in and installing it is about as straightforward as Razer things get, plug it up, install synapse if you dont have it, or use the Freyja dashboard to control it. The intensity settings are interesting and the motor that controls it is quiet. I find it interesting that the number of supported games is so limited, especially when it feels like they should just be able to tap into the vibration feedback support that most games already have for rumble-capable controllers. It feels like this should have been a natural extension to that. Now for games that don't have that, sure, there's other things that could be done, but this should at least extend it's rather lacking support. That said, when connecting it and playing Apex Legends or Forza, the response is unparalleled, the feedback is really just very cool. It can vibrate on games that it doesn't natively support using information it receives from the sound from the game, but again, I feel like it's a huge miss that it isn't tapping in to the vibration controller support that a ton more games have. I will say it's pretty interesting that it vibrates with music. Overall: Neat idea, rather comfortable, lacking game support. The big miss being not utilizing the controller vibration support that a huge number of games already have. Cool to listen to music with it. It's fun, but it needs more support.

3 Stars... there's nothing wrong with it, it works as advertised. Haptic motors distributed through the chair cushion buzz along with big explosions and impactful events as they should. But honestly the number of games that specifically support the feature is lacking. I own all of 2 supported games, but only one of which I have on PC. So the majority of my experience with Sensa is more the Audio to haptics profiles. As far as that experience goes, I think it works best paired with a headset that also has the Sensa haptics. Then it just kinda feels like you're sitting in a car with really thumpy base that makes the whole car shake. I think the idea behind this is really cool, but unless it get's integrated into more games it will remain mostly a niche little accessory that I think most gamers could really do without. Also having a power tether leading to your chair depending on your battlestation's layout can be really inconvenient, especially if you have pets. since you can't just cable manage that away where they can't get to it. I would likely rate this higher if there were more games with integration, or if I personally played more of the games that already do have integration. But as interesting of a feature this adds to my setup, it's not a feature that will sell me on the other games that support it just because they support it.

This is the first time I have ever owned a product like this. The concept is very cool and I am all for having a full on immersive experience when it comes to my gaming. The cushion itself has a very simple look with little accents that give it a nice touch. The material feels good and not cheap. Setup was pretty easy as far as strapping it to my chair and connecting it to my PC. Once that was done, I downloaded the RAZER app and got everything set up with that. I tested it with a couple games that were compatible and it performed ok. I have some issues with this thing. First issue, is it is not very comfortable to sit on after a little bit of time. I found myself having to adjust frequently. I didn't have this issue with the chair itself, before this cushion. Second issue I have is that the performance isn't spot on. I feel that it either wasn't strong enough to be immersive or it was to much and made it unenjoyable. Third issue I have, is no matter what adjustments I made in the app and game settings, I just couldn't get it dialed in right for my liking. Last issue I have is that I felt it was somewhat delayed with the sound from my headset. I'd hear an explosion or gunfire, but it took a second or two to catch up. The concept is a great one and I hope with future software upgrades, it may resolve my issues with it.
