Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the high-quality build, vibrant RGB backlighting, and comfortable wrist rest of the Huntsman Elite keyboard. Many appreciate the responsive switches and quick response time, making it ideal for gaming. However, some find the price to be high and the software could be improved. The keyboard's use of two USB ports is also a point of concern for some users.

I really wanted to love this keyboard. The only reason I wanted to give it a try was so that it would flow and match my Razer (Keypad, mouse and mouse pad). So as you read my thoughts, I'm not a Razer Hater. Things that didn't work right. *The RGB lights from Z to the arrow keys (Bottom row) were dim, not as bright as the other keys. *At times it would double type Letters Thing I just didn't like * Media keys. Round knobs, they just look cheap, out of place and not what I think should be on a $200.00 keyboard. *Volume wheeel. Moving it up turns the volume down, moving it down turns the volume up. And the design I HATE, it wasn't smooth IMO. I really wish Razer would have used a wheel/roll type like on Corsair K95. *Typing felt cramped to me (IMO) *I'm not a CLICKY fan but I would have lived with it, I wish they had other keys to offer in this model. Overall I am returning this keyboard today. You can do much better for less. (Unless you just want all Razer in front of you like I did but even so, I'm not in love with this keyboard to justify the price paid

I got this keyboard because the red linear switches were sold out and I regret not waiting for the linear keyboard. The purple switches are too loud to my liking.

Gotta give it to Razer on this one, this keyboard has been an absolute joy to use. The board in general is very well built, has 0 deck flex and looks sharp with the aluminum backplate and exposed switch bases, which also makes it easy to keep clean. The lighting on the keyboard as well is great and wraps around the entire keyboard including the wrist wrest (which is very comfortable), only downside is that it takes 2 usb ports to power the additional on the wrist wrest lighting, so no USB pass through sadly like the Blackwidow. Their not the first brand to do optical-mechanical switches but they've been a joy to type on, great feature about them is each switch having a stabilizer bar instead of just the larger keys so there's no key wobble and pressing the keys at any angle feels consistent. As for the response times and feel, they basically feel like Cherry MX Blues, Razer Greens, or anything similar, the throw on them is extremely short which is excellent and an improvement if you're moving over from those types of switches, just don't expect to notice a massive latency difference. All and all, great package, kind of hard to cough up the $200 for a mechanical keyboard but I felt like it was worth it.

Purchased on 3/31 and today (5/2) a little over a month later, the lighting goes out. Each key is RGB, my Q key's Red light goes out, only shows Blue & Green. If the whole keyboard is red, the Q lighting won't show at all. I was thinking I had a 2 year warranty, the rep states my warranty is only for 1 year. I got lucky, but you would think for $200 the quality and warranty would be better. I can only imagine the future problems I'm going to have with this thing.

I had a cheaper mechanical keyboard for a while, and I figured that would be good enough. But wow, there really is a jump in quality when you get something like the Huntsman Elite. Much nicer keystrokes, trusting that the optical switches will last for a long while, the included wrist-rest that also lights up. Razer's software is ok, but the lighting options are phenomenal, and even things like the volume wheel are very useful. Enjoyed having this keyboard for over a year now, it's a nice quality upgrade for me.

I really like this keyboard, the sound, feel of the keys, the wrist rest, and the RGB. Of course Razer’s Synapse can be difficult to use to set up your RGB, but hopefully they got their updates fixed. I just ordered different keys for this. One of my big cons with this keyboard is you can’t read any of the shifts in the whole top row of the alpha-numerics. The light does not shine through thst part of the keys. Other than that, its pretty great. The play keys and the volume/ mute button are a nice option as well.

I picked this up with my Christmas gift card money and was pretty sure I would regret it. There are so many different switches out there now it can be easy to get lost reading spec sheets over and over. Especially when higher end keyboards are starting to break the $200 barrier. I have been very surprised by how much I love this thing. It's incredibly well built. The whole unit feels so solid and I have come to believe Razer made the right call with no USB/AUX pass-through. Why? It can be one solid piece with no plastic anywhere to be found. It just feels like such a beast. The wrist wrest is probably the best you're going to get as far it coming with the unit itself. RGB is great. Super bright. Nothing new there. What I really like though is that Razer finally ditched the form factor they have been using for the past several years i.e. Black Widow line and really stripped this chassis down to a more simpler, sleeker, less flashy look. Purple switches are loud and clicky. They key-stabilizer on each key is really nice but don't expect no wobble. I'd say 99% across the board. Obviously bigger keys, like the space bar, will have a smidgen of wobble. At first I was ashamed that I spent so much on keyboard but after using it for a month I have no regrets.

I dont use this keyboard for myself, but i got it for my brother. He loves this keyboard and he loves the clicky tactile feeling of the switches. Personally, its not for me, you just have to try them in person. But its been reliable for him, and none of the rgb got messed up yet, and still works great

Solid keyboard. The Opto-Mechanical keys feel really fluid with a high response time, and the wrist wrest is probably the best one I have ever used. It's like placing your wrists on a plushy cloud.

After doing much research, this was the best option for the price. There are so many keyboards and keyboard companies out there, and many people push logitech, and indie brands, but this keyboard is good for everything. I love the multimedia switches on the upper right, it is always a great thing when you can easily and quickly turn down your volume...OoO.... Of course the RGB is the beautiful, but you have to use Razer software, which isn't a deal breaker, but learn how to use it so you can customize your lights, if that is what you wanted from it. The mechanical switches I love, I love to hear the clicking of the keys, I know there are people who don't like them, but I love it. The wrist rest is also very nice and soft, it also lights up as well around the edges. Only thing, I like that it is easily removed, but at the same time, feels too easily removable... So it depends on what you like. I like it both ways, as other people use the keyboard as well. Thinking about not being able to use it while writing this review makes me sad, because it is such a nice keyboard to type on as well as game on. ^.^

The keyboard and RGB software are alright. I really needed something with a 10-key, which this has, and it's comfortable, easy to use, and easy to clean. I've decided, though, I hate clicky. It just gets annoying after a while. For what it is, I don't think it's worth the cost. It's basically just a glowy, regular keyboard. You can make any button on any keyboard have macros, this just has a button to set them a bit faster. Again, it's just alright.
