Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the high-quality build, vibrant RGB backlighting, and comfortable wrist rest of the Huntsman Elite keyboard. Many appreciate the responsive switches and quick response time, making it ideal for gaming. However, some find the price to be high and the software could be improved. The keyboard's use of two USB ports is also a point of concern for some users.

Great keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing keyboard when it works. I am on my 2nd keyboard now after less than a year, and it is possible that this may need to get replaced at some point. That being said, they keys feel amazing; they are so responsive and everything about typing or gaming using it is very nice. The keyboard is a full keyboard including the numberpad which is great if you do anything outside of gaming; additionally, it has some very handy multimedia keys. It looks very understated, and with the RGB off it's even professional looking. Also, the elite version comes with the RGB wrist-rest, which is one of the most comfortable I've ever used. Overall, I would say it's worth the trouble (especially with how great Best Buy is with return policy)

The best keyboard I've ever used.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't planning to get this keyboard; however it was on sale, and I can honestly say I've never had a keyboard this good before. It's ridiculously responsive, clicky-in-all-the-right ways (I get a tingle down my spine after typing some things), and yet it doesn't feel like I am hammering away at some old mechanical switches. It feels like typing on air, each key moving with the lightest touch, but not in a spongy way like some other keyboards. It's like the button moves down just enough to match your finger, and it knows just when you mean to click, and when you don't. At first it was a little oversensitive, but I've honestly adjusted super quickly because of how fantastic it is. Plus, again, the audio feedback is very nice. Also, while I wasn't sold on the wrist rest at first, it is honestly nice to have. All in all, this keyboard is so good that my work keyboard is starting to become unbearable in comparison. Build quality is excellent and durable, with no obvious defects. Lighting is gorgeous, vibrant, and easily tweaked in Razer Synapse. The only cons I can see are that some of the key symbols (like those accessed by hitting the shift key) are not backlit, which can make more complex typing difficult in low-light conditions. Also, there is no USB passthrough, which would be nice given that this takes two USB ports on your computer. All that said, it's a fantastic keyboard, and I love it to death.

Best keyboard ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't usually write reviews but after using this keyboard for almost a week and finishing playing wofenstein 2 with it , I am compelled to do so. I am 44 years old but have been a gamer ever since I was very young. I took my old PC apart that I built in 2012 . The last keyboard I used with it was the logitceh g910 and although nice for a mechanical keyboard. It never quite gave me the clickiness I yearned for. I went in to Best buy and purchased an Alienware desktop and wanted a new keyboard. Initially I decided on the Razer Black widow but then I saw the huntsman elite. The keys felt clickier and the keystrokes crisper . The hunstman also uses razers opto mechanical switches where the keys break a lazer in middle of pushing them and the result is a much quicker response . So you get the best of both worlds . The fast response with nice crisp feel of the mechanical keyboard . Also the wrist rest is very soft and the most luxurious wrist rest you will ever feel. The multimedia keys with a volume knob are a very nice bonus. The lighting affects are awesome and carry through the sides if the rest rest as it attaches to the keyboard with pogo pins effortlessly . Razer also has other plans to make more accessories for the keyboard to attach through the pins . I initially was hesitant to spend $200 in a keyboard. It just sounds crazy but now am glad that I did. This one is well worth it and I can see my self using it for years to come. So I say if you can afford it then go for it . You won't regret it either.

Great keyboard and easy to use software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, let me note that this keyboard is loud, clicky and tactile. It is amazing for typing and working on, but anyone around you will want to un-alive you. That being said, it's a lot of fun to work with. The included wrist pad feels great, and offers a nice cool leather touch. Software wise, synapse is a breeze to work with. Lighting customizations by zone, and automatic profile switching by application are easy to set and fun to mess with. This keyboard shines in all aspects.

Great for typing and gaming, very solidly built
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a wonderful experience to type on this keyboard. Very similar if not identical to Cherry MX Blue switches, clicky, tactile and extremely satisfying to type and game on. The lighting is crisp, bright and fully customizable. I've never been a huge fan of Razer's products because they are typically flashy, over branded and lack in subtly/elegance. This keyboard does not. It is sleek and low key for a "gaming keyboard" which is something I value. I have always used mostly Logitech products for gaming because they are much more subtle and less flashy but when I saw and tried this keyboard at Bestbuy I couldn't help myself. The build quality also feels very sturdy, nothing about this keyboard feels cheap or inadequately designed. The only negative I could really find was that the 2nd function shift options on the number keys and punctuation keys are not illuminated. Although I have the location of these keys memorized it seems like a slight oversight but not worthy of removing a star. Very happy with this purchase from Razer and I will definitely consider their products more in the future. I find myself wanting to type more than usual due to the amazing feel of these keys. SOO satisfying!

Now I need to buy a 2nd one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an engineer by trade so I spend a lot of time on computers doing programming and such. I was looking for a new keyboard for a setup at home. I bought this keyboard because it seemed to have the nicest response when I tried it compared to the other brands in store. I bought the purple "clicky" version. I've used mechanical gaming keyboards at work and home for years because the response and feel is just so much better than membrane. I hooked it up at work to test it out, in place of a mechanical keyboard that used similiar switches to cherry mx blue. I definitely prefer this keyboard over that one. It just feels so much smoother and not quite as loud. The keyboard I had been using at home used romer-G switches, which I liked. But the switches on the Razer seem to be the perfect combination of those and the blues. I would say this is the best keyboard I have used. I wasn't sure if I would like the wrist rest but so far it has been nice and comfortable. The lighting effects are pleasing to the eye and don't seem overdone. The build quality seems top notch. I could take or leave the volume control. I would normally use the volume control built into my headset but if I was using external speakers it may be more useful.

Best KeyBoard Razer made Since 2013
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Keyboard I've owned since the original Blackwidow in 2013, The audio interface at the top right is perfect for on the fly switching music while gaming and the wrist rest is probably the comfiest that Razer came out with yet. The RGB keeps getting better and they really cemented me into their cult.

Hands down best keyboard for gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this keyboard, the keys are amazingly tactile and satisfying to use. The keyboard has overall excellent build quality and the wrist rest is soft and pleasing to the touch. The chroma RGB lighting makes this product really shine with the absolutely stunning underglow lighting. I’m extremely glad I purchased this keyboard and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for the best quality gaming keyboard.

Best keyboard ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve hesitated on getting this since I’ve been using the blackwidow chroma. However it was the best decision ever since the black widow got a bit buggy with one of the key buttons. Decided to fork out a bit more and was not disappointed! The mechanical clicks on pressing this keyboard is unparalleled! Such a sense of satisfaction from hearing it and feeling it go as you type. A multimedia dial is also available for you to quickly turn up or down your computer volume. Only gripe I have is that the secondary USB Port connected could be used as a pass through, would be such a great and functional addition.

Superb mechanical keyboard for serious computists
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a software engineer, my day is a constant stream of keystrokes and all errors have to be immediately corrected. Since I have been using my new Huntsman Elite keyboard my accuracy has improved and I am spending less time correcting typos. The feeling is pleasant and while I thought the keys a little small at first, they are actually perfect with a hair more space between them (this is good). I highly recommend this keyboard. By the way, it comes with an excellent wrist rest, adorned with Led highlighting. Everything to like here.

Excellent for Gaming!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been searching and debating if I go on a budget for my gaming keyboard but then I realized that how much of a difference a mechanical keyboard can be. You can customize the lighting, ease of access plus it has an armrest. Price is up there but it's really worth it and once this is done for the following years i"ll be looking at the same keyboard no questions asked.

I HATE THIS KEYBOARD killed my favorite keyboard
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from Corsair MK1, MK2, and low profile speed switches and STRAFE silent switches, there is only 1 downfall of this keyboard: The sound. It's very loud. That being said, everything else surprised me. PROS: -RESPONSE: The responsive rate playing games on this is insane. I found myself moving so fast I couldn't control my movement and went with the flow (Like Captain America when he first got his powers and ran after the car, he ran through a store). -TYPING: They NAILED this down. The typing is hands down the best typing experience I have ever had the pleasure of typing with. I thought Corsair Cherry MX silent strafe and speed switches won had no contest but after using optical switches, WOW, just WOW. I'm sure other companies will make an optical switch for their keyboards eventually but at this time, Razer has the only one. It's no wonder they ranked this as the #1 selling keyboard in the US. -WRIST PAD: I usually don't care for a wrist rest, but I really actually love this wrist rest and ended up actually using it. It's super comfortable and feels natural. The pleather/leather feeling is nice and comfortable. Overall, just like the Razer Viper, I would recommend optical switches of any peripheral. It definitely is here to stay.

Effective, enjoyable, entertaining
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am currently in the process of building a new PC, and as a part of that new build decided to upgrade my mouse and keyboard setup as well. Enter the Razer - Huntsman Elite Wired Gaming Opto-Mechanical Switch Keyboard. This keyboard has highly responsive keys, rgb backlighting and a rather enjoyable sound per key hit (if you are in to hearing your key inputs). The backlighting for the keyboard has multiple customization profiles from creating your own back lighting setups to downloading custom ones made by other users from the associated website. In example if you're a Pac-Man fan there is a moving Pac-Man chroma lighting setting that will blow your mind and possibly distract you from your gaming-related things that you're doing, which is a good thing in my opinion. Also depending on your set-up it is possible to synch your lighting profiles with other devices as well as your visualizers. The keyboard also comes with a magnetically attach and detachable paded arm rest which is both convient and comfortable based on your personal preference. I am absolutely happy with my purchase and am very impressed with the quality of the keyboard.
