I am an avid World of Warcraft player and having the Razer Naga is a must. I owned the first Naga a while back and I've always been impressed with the hardware that Razer produces. The only complaint I have is that the mouse is way too big for my hands, but that's not the mouse's fault lol. Other than that, 10/10.

What can I say about the razer naga a wonderful reliable gaming mouse that is built by a company who's foundation is built on the idea of providing quality over quantity gaming experience for all gamers. Razer really did well on this product which is why I am giving it a five star review I look forward to buying many more razer products in the near future. I have also referred razer to my friends who are all logitech and corsair fanboys and let me tell you they all love razer now as well.

I recently purchased a few different mice so that I can test them out and decide what was best for me. I am a Best Buy Elite Plus member, so I had an awesome return policy to work with.
This mouse was a very sexy mouse. The lighting on it was nice and it matched my Razer keyboard. Unfortunately, it was just too small and light for my hands.
Every time I moved the mouse, I would accidentally lift it up a little. I am sure I could get use to the weight eventually, but my big claws just weren't comfortable with the weight. I want a mouse that I can grip and lean on without having to worry about this. If I could adjust the weight of this mouse, I might have ended up keeping it. I almost considered taking it a part and adding some weight to the inside.
It has 12 buttons on the side. This would be perfect for someone who plays games that require many different button taps to access things. Unfortunately, my big hands found these difficult to work with. My thumb could not accurately push one button at a time. I am sure with lots of practice I could maybe get a little better at it, but I found myself wishing it had more buttons on the top too. I do not want to rely just on my thumb for extra button taps.
I liked the material and accuracy of the mouse. If you have smaller hands then this mouse could be a winner for you.
Pros:
Sexy
Nice material
Lighting is nice
Cons:
No adjustable weight
Too small for my hands
Side buttons hard to use
No extra buttons on top
I am giving this 4 stars because it is a very nice mouse. It is not Razer's fault that I have big hands. If they made the size and weight adjustable and added a few buttons in different areas, this would definitely be a winner for me.
I ended up going with the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. I highly recommend that mouse if you have larger hands, are looking for more options on where to push different buttons, and want to be able to adjust the weight.

Everything about this mouse is great. It has an ergonomic design that fits comfortably in my small hand. Each button is reachable and in a reasonable position. It does take getting used to so you aren't smashing all the buttons, but that can be said of any new drvice. As a beginning gamer this has helped tremendously by giving 12 immediate options to one hand. Wasn't sure I'd need all 12 but I don't think I'd be satisfied with much less.
The software is user-friendly, easy to obtain, and cooperative. I had an issue with some settings after unplugging the mouse and plugging it back in. Keys were bound to the wrong place. However it was easy to reset the bindings to the settings I was expecting, and this may only be a glitch in the software rather than an issue with the mouse itself.
And it's pretty.

For the MMO Player

I'll start by saying that this mouse is a necessity for any serious MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online Game) player out there. Of course, im gonna tell you why though.
First off, the company Razer has always been known for making sleek-looking high quality products, and this one is certainly no exception. The packaging it comes in is really superb. Inside you'll find the mouse, some warranty/instruction info, and a Razer sticker. The mouse itself is really well construction. It isn't wireless but the cord is made of a high quality and it's generously long if you keep your pc farther away. There is a total of 19 buttons (including the scroll wheel clicks)! The scroll wheel is able to click to the left or the right in addition to the middle click. There's 2 additional buttons directly below the scroll wheel. On the left side of the mouse is a 12 key number pad arranged in a 3x4 grid. There's plenty of buttons to go around for all your "key-binding" and macro needs. The mouse also has a nice little rubber grip on the other side for more stability. Im very happy with the design and the quality. My only gripe is that this mouse is not the most ergonomic mouse out there. There's mice that are far more comfortable but those mice dont have all the keys that this does. Part of the reason is the fact you are using your thumb to press the side buttons which reduces your overall stability. Not a deal breaker but certainly something to consider if you don't need a mouse with 19 buttons.
Setting up the mouse is a fairly simple process. If you want to get the full functionality you will need to download Razer Synapse 2.0 from Razer's website. This software will provide the drivers and it serves as the programming suite for the mouse's numerous buttons. The best about this software is the fact that all your other Razer devices use it. It also stores all your programming on a cloud which means you if switch over to another computer you can save yourself the trouble of programming all over again. With the Razer Naga specifically, the softwares includes an "In-Game MMO configurator." This allows you to program your mouse inside the game. This is very helpful for testing out all your button combinations without having to exit in and out of the game.
I did say this mouse is a necessity for any MMO player. In many of the MMO's out there, there are dozen's of actions and abilities for your character. With all these actions to worry about, it can be fairly tricky and cumbersome to click each one at a time. Not to mention very slow. In a player versus player setting, this can put you at a disadvantage. Thanks to mouse, you can have each ability on a different key. Instead of moving your mouse over to the command you can instantly activate it and save your pointer for targeting. Since all the buttons are in one place you won't have to stretch your hand all over the keyboard either, making this a little bit more efficient than mapping all your abilities to the keyboard. Keybinding doesn't substitute for skill though. It's critical that you have the most optimal mouse mapping so you can performs actions faster than the other players. Again, having your all your actions bound to a specific key is a lot more efficient than just clicking each command one by one. After practicing for awhile it becomes muscle memory.
Final Verdict:
Get this for sure if you are an avid player of MMO's or games with lots of commands. I can't stress how helpful this mouse is. With practice you can greatly improve your play style.
If you don't play MMO's then I probably wouldn't push this mouse as much. There's a lot more comfortable mice for much less that are perfectly suitable for games that require less button pressing.

I purchased this a while back. I had it for about a year before I returned it. For the time I had it though, it worked alright. It was fairly lightweight and the programmable buttons were useful even though I never used all of them. The sensor on it seemed to not track properly later on though. The mouse could be sitting still and the cursor would almost vibrate on the screen occasionally. But the main issue I had was actually with the rubber grip on the mouse. First of all, it had a weird texture. It wanted to be like a soft touch coating but it felt more squishy than I’d like. And as the months went by, the adhesive that held the grip in place started to sort of ooze out from behind and would start to stick to my pinky as well as onto my mousepad. That was a deal breaker for me so I returned it. I haven’t heard of other people having that issue so I can’t say if mine was just a dud. Just be aware that atleast one case has happened.

Extra buttons are great. Fast response. Too big for my hand but I do have small hand. Just be aware that if you have small hands buttons are a bit of a stretch and you'll probably feel like you don't have a good grip to it.

This is the long awaited successor to the original Naga. It has mechanical input keys making the response to user input incredibly fluid and easy to use. The keys are very easy to push while at the same time not so easy to incidentally activate so you can rest your thumb on the side without worry of twitching your finger and doing something to cost you the game.
There's even a pinky rest on the side of the mouse that ensures a firm grip while playing to keep your hand from sliding off the side. I'd say the only downside to this mouse is that it is fairly larger than the last generation width wise and might feel a bit uncanny in a person's hand if they have small hands.
Great item for the competitive gamer who lives on the fringe of making use of optimal hotkeys.

Very comfortable after getting used to the wider sizing. The buttons are raised nicely for ease of use, again, after getting used to the new size. It's a bit too wide for my hands, but for my husband's larger hands, it works well and is easier for him to grip.

This mouse will function for everyday computer use but it truly shines when you use it for MMO type games. The 12 buttons on the side of the mouse correlate to the strip of 12 above the keyboard. It's as simple a setup as can be when tying your skills to the buttons. This mouse is one of the best on the market and is probably the simplest to set up. I first purchased a corsair that had the same side buttons but the setup process was to buggy and didn't end up working for my setup. Bought the Naga and plugged it in and off I went never looked back. In short if you want an MMO mouse this is it.

Easily accessible mechanical side buttons. Best paired with 2013 Razer Blackwidow Ultimate (I currently have the 2012).
Regards to ergonomics. My hand just lays on the mouse, rather than gripping it. It does not make me feel that I am forced to press any of the 12 side button when I move the Naga. Easily clawed with ring (resting comfortably) and pinky fingers, while having the thumb help guide the mouse, without pressing the side buttons.
The shape of the Naga makes it quite helpful when repositioning your hand in order to press the 10-12 key, and return back to position with ease. The 12 side buttons has a nice (best way to describe it) "thumbed memory feel", so that you are not always looking at your mouse to determine which button you are pressing. You instinctively know which button you are pressing, when you position your thumb over the number 5 button.
I just wish that the 2014 variants kept the interchangeable sides, like it's previous model.
Other than that... Keep up the good work Razer.

The quality of mouse is excellent...so if it fits your hand and mouse style well...the device itself should not disappoint. The Naga is typical of nicer gaming mice in that it has the usual shielded/braided USB cord with gold plated contacts. It can work straight out of the box with no added software (the buttons and scroll wheel will be a standard 1-5 and the side key-pad acts like the 1-0, -, and = sign on the top row), but to get the most you'll want to go to the Razer Web Site, download, and install Razer's Synapse software.

I bought this Naga to use at work after falling in love with the one I have for home use. The number pad comes in very handy and the comfort and pinpoint accuracy of the mouse is awesome. I did have issues with the previous versions of the mice because of an issue with my wrist but the raised buttons on the 2014 version make it so much easier to use. The Razer Synapse software makes changes on the fly so much easier and since it is cloud based I can update my settings at home and they are ready for me when I go to work.

I am an avid player of Guild Wars 2. There is no other mouse that I would recommend higher than the Naga. The side buttons are perfect to unleash a flurry of attacks while letting me maintain mobility with my other hand on the keyboard solely devoted to movement. The layout is intuitive and the action of the mechanical buttons is fantastic. This is a must have for me and has heightened my playing experience.

I'll say right off the bat that I also own the direct competitor to this mouse, the Logitech G600 MMO Gaming mouse, and I like my 2014 Razer Naga better. Why? Read below!
Over the past year or so I've been "Razer-izing" my entire PC setup after owning peripherals/gear from several other companies. That includes the 2014 Razer BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard, the 2014 Razer Naga Expert MMO mouse, and the Razer Vespula gaming mouse pad to complete the trifecta of Razery goodness!
If you read reviews elsewhere, you'll see people report issues here and there over longtime use with the Razer Naga - I can say a few things to that. Firstly, I haven't had a single issue with mine yet, and I use it for hours-on-end every day. Second, this mouse is so awesome that even if I were to start having issues with it a couple years down the road, I'd probably just buy another one - "He's just drinking the Razer Kool-aid," you might be saying - well hear me out. I also own the 2013 Razer Blade 14" laptop which was shipped to me with a single deal pixel. Obviously, that made me unhappy as this is a very expensive laptop. I called Razer up and what did they do? They shipped me a brand new one, no fuss no muss. In my mind, that pretty much nullifies any quality related argument as they are quick to rectify any product related issues and make their customers happy.
If you're looking for more of a comparison between this and the Logitech G600 or other gaming mice, there are plenty of YouTube video reviews out there with lots of in-depth information. I will say that this mouse is slightly smaller, but boasts all the features of the G600 and the ability to use it with Razer software which has yet to disappoint me. Also, the G600 has a third ring finger mouse button which I could never get used to after using classic 2-finger index + middle finger mice my whole life. Both good mice, but I'm keeping my Razer Naga.
All in all, a wonder mouse that will serve me well for years to come I'm sure. If you want a product dedicated to gaming and fine tuned for MMO games, the Razer Naga is your mouse.

So far this mouse has been great. I find it to be more comfortable in hand than I thought it would be, just have to be aware and not push all the extra buttons in normal use. Setup is super easy and had many more options than I thought. The texture on top isn't slick which was unexpected, it's just slightly coarse compared to the normal ones I've had. It works great on every surface I've used it on, which can be rather random. Very fast and accurate. Love it overall.

This is not the first computer mouse by Razer I have purchased, but I think/hope it will be the last. As you would expect it feels solid and is extremely responsive. This model is a tad bulkier than my previous one and that took a little bit of getting used to at first. The payoff is it also appears to be more durable and of higher quality, while somehow being more resonably priced than I remember these costing in the past. Only wish it was blue but no biggy.
