Customers find value in the Naga Hex Expert's well-placed buttons, ease of use, and sleek design. Many appreciate its performance and accuracy, along with the competitive price point. However, some users find the size to be too small for their hands, and others have experienced issues with the software. A few also mentioned the cord length and thumb rest as minor drawbacks.

Great for anyone who can use 6 extra buttons

Plug it in and it loads/installs everything itself, the only thing that can go wrong is not knowing where your usb plug in is.
The Naga Hex I got originally for playing League of Legends and my small notebook wireless mouse was old and reaching its limits. I ended up using this mouse for more then just MOBA games and it works wonders for gamers even in shooter games. You can bind the gun swap, reload, melee, grenades, cover, shoulder swap, whatever it maybe be to 6 easy buttons.
I also use it while using Photoshop and Illustrator for tools that I constantly use.

The Razer Naga is excellent, good shape and has nice feel in your hand. The color and the actual look of the Razer Naga is just amazing. Razer has always exceeded my expectations, but they outdid themselves with this, I will forever be a Razer Cult supporter!

I've been using razer mice now for 10 years.
Yes. You've heard me right.
I just bout the hex, after using a death adder WITHOUT PROBLEMS for various games (CS:S, Dota, Dota 2) for TEN YEARS.
This mouse has outlasted 3 laptops.
So the hex is obviously an upgrade since I mainly play DOTA 2 now and the ergonomics and sensitivity is phenomenal. I appreciate the features they give you in SYNAPSE among other things. I wish the keys weren't FORCED to be # keys (since now I have to relearn certain keybinds) but it makes up for it by being easy and intuitive to use.

A capable mouse

After using Logitech mice for what felt like forever, using a mouse like this was a learning experience. The side (thumb) buttons takes a while to get used to. Most mice of gaming caliber are designed with just two or three on the side. With 6 buttons and a hexagon form, this will throw most users off and will be a learning curve. Thankfully, the default settings are set to simple number keys. This can be changed in the configuration software, which is tons lighter than Logitech's software.
The configuration software is straightforward and easy to set up. It has enough flexibility for the power users to take advantage of the hardware and is straightforward enough to be easy to understand.
There are two drawbacks to this mouse. The first is that there is no tilt-wheel. While this may not be an issue for most gamers, those migrating from MS-esque mouse designs may find it odd to live without this little feature. The second drawback is the material finish used for the top of the mouse and mouse buttons. It is a smooth glossy plastic finish that collects small particles that can clump together (due to oily hands/fingers, sweat, or whatever). Because of this, you have to frequently clean the button surface to get back that smooth "new" feeling. I probably would have prefer a matte finish instead of smooth gloss. But that's just me.
Overall, the mouse is a pretty good replacement for the ol' Logitech mouse I've been using for a while. And it's very refreshing to be able to use the Razer Synapse software that feels smooth and lightweight. If you're tired of how bloat-like Logitech's driver software has become, moving to a Razer hardware may help alleviate that. For mice, Razer has been in the game long enough to be considered an excellent alternative to Logitech's gaming mice series.

I have been very pleased with this mouse. It fits the hand very well and feels great. It does not have as many programmable buttons as other gaming mice but the hex design works well.

My Naga has fit comfortably in my hand for a year now and I am really enjoying it. But one thing about the Naga that annoys me is that the thumb rest is too far behind and I end up resting my thumb on button #2. It could just be how my hand is shaped so it isn't very critical to other buyers. Note it has lasted a year without any technical problems

I was excited to purchase this mouse. It is very programmable and installation with my MAC was flawless.
The downside is the size. I have small hands and have difficulty finding things, like gloves etc., to fit. Even with small hands, this mouse is too small. You have to change the way you hold it, making it uncomfortable for me. If you have average to large hands you might think twice. I would have given it 5 starts if it were a little bigger.3

So I picked this bad boy up today May 5th. I absolutely love it. It is very lightweight and not a burden to use. I have large hands and this mouse fits perfectly.
I really like the 6 buttons on the side. They work perfect for every game I play. I play a lot of League of Legends and World of Warcraft and it works well with both games.
Only downside is that there is only 2 colors available. It would be cool if more colors were available like blue. My favorite color is red and that is the one I have and I love it.
Other than that this thing is pretty nifty. I chose this one over the Razer Naga with 12 side buttons. I felt there is no need for 12 when you can simply hold shift while pressing one of the 6 buttons and that is a completely different action. I also felt that my thumb was too big for all 12 buttons on the naga and the Hex fit perfectly with my thumb.
Anyway I'm off to go play some more games. Just took a break to write this up. I highly recommend buying this. And hey if you end up not liking it you can always return it or sell it to someone else. But I doubt that will happen. I know you will like it.

The peripheral in itself is a simplistic design with a excellent set of drivers and if combined with Razer synaps 2.0 the user receive the feeling of being a complete god in their respective game. Allowing them to do things such as high combos with the click of a programmed button.

Before the Naga i was playing on a wireless mouse, it was not suiting my needs so i decided to look into razor. I found the Naga hex at my local bestbuy and decided to give it a try. At first i was skeptical, but i liked the feel of it, and it was very responsive. I like how the LEDs light up and that you could change the macros with a cloud service for the mouse. I recommended it to my friend an he went out and bought one! Overall if you are looking for a Above average mouse then this mouse will suit your needs whether you play rpgs or Mobos this mouse is just for you.

Great mouse for gaming

The Naga Hex is by far the best gaming mouse I've tried. It has the advantage of being less pricy than the other Razer Naga versions, but the wheel lay out of the side buttons is, in my opinion, a superior design to the more expensive versions despite having fewer buttons.

I got this primarily for World of Warcraft. I upgraded from my a Razer Spectre (SC2 mouse) to this one. The extra buttons are just what I needed to be more efficient while gaming. It's taking some time to get use to as any new mouse would, but this is an excellent mouse for the price.
I highly recommend this mouse If you're happy using your keyboard using keybinds but need a few extra buttons that are easy to use and reach.

I previously owned a Logitech MX Revolution which began acting a little buggy, so I decided to upgrade for my gaming. The Razer Naga Hex mouse looks great, feels great, and is a nice upgrade until you download the software (Synapse 2.0) to program the side keys. Once I downloaded the program and it updated all the firmware, anytime I clicked a side key it would cause my computer (a brand new system) to BSoD. It ultimately resulted in me having to restore my entire system. Perhaps Razer doesn't have the most up-to-date software and firmware on their website, but the headache this caused led me to return it promptly. I also own a Razer keyboard and a headset and I've never experienced problems with those, so this is unusual for a Razer product.

I play League of Legends and that is the reason I purchased this mouse. This grip style was initially more relaxed than I was used to but I adjusted quickly and found this mouse to be superior to what I had used previously. The hex button design is great for toggling items and summoner spells. My only complaint is that the red portion of the design is glossy and collect finger and palm prints very easily. All in all though, this is an excellent mouse for League or any MOBA.

Very easy to use gaming mouse; far preferred over any other I've used. The six button design is much easier to use than 12. Misclicks are no longer a problem. The mouse is very sensitive in general, and it has definitely been worth the money.

I have a Razer Naga pro on my gaming rig, but needed a mouse for my 2nd PC. Works great and it is nice to have all the extra buttons so I can assign macros based on the games I play.
