Picked it up on a whim because I'm a Razer fan boy, however it proved to be very good. The ability to cloak and use green screen is amazing when I'm streaming , not to mention I love messing with my friends on Skype calls and putting weird backgrounds. The video quality is 4.5, mic 4.0 and it doesn't really pick up too much background noise as well. The coorde is heavy duty and I don't see having problems with it ever. Heavy weight and having great stick pad it never moves off my monitor even when I bang into my desk . Worth the money if you want to spend it, but they're other cheaper webcams that are great for normal use.

To start, both Intel and Razer have stopped support for this camera and the background removal technology.
This is not a plug and play camera. I spent at least 4 to 6 hours trying to get it setup. After installing and uninstalling multiple programs and drivers, the camera started working. Then later on after installing a third almost unrelated program I got the background removal working.
After trying to stream with it for a while it turned out to be too cpu intensive for a single pc stream setup. I have since moved to a green screen setup.
While the camera has a great frame rate the video output has a grainy effect to it.
For the price there are better supported cameras out there.

The stargazer is a really nice camera, not only does it sit nicely stop my center monitor but it also acts as a base for a Pharah miniature. It's not so large that it would be akward though, it's barely longer than my monitor so it doesn't stick out much, in fact the cords sticking out of the back of the monitor itself cause more trouble.

Horrible drivers, and even more ridiculous setup. You get NO software designed or supported by Razer. You will be reading a LOT on forums - you need to go to Intel's site and install SDK, etc. This product is a poorly implemented developer's model. And try to go see the few THIRD PARTY apps your shiny new $150 mistake tells you to try, and you get a 404 error on Razer's site. Absolutely amateur way of doing business. For $150 I expect software that supports what you just sold me. BTW, Windows Hello does work, but that's an expensive 1-trick pony.
Will recommend to people that I hate
