This is a pretty fun toy. We bought our son's 6th birthday. It's pretty quick, without being so fast that it will scare the parent watching. The construction is fairly solid, but there is no protection or bumper for the front wheels. After a couple of crashes into the curb, the front end bent up enough that it would not turn right anymore; but it was fixable with a pair of pliers. The front wheel would not hold air even before crashing, and I have yet to call customer service to see if they will send a replacement (you cannot email them, you have to call M-F). The battery takes a long time to charge (overnight), and there is no easy way to swap batteries.
