This was a great purchase at a price-matched great price. It was for older parents who have problems with switching inputs and reading menus and this fit the bill perfectly. Once the DVD is inserted it switches automatically from TV input to DVD input. It MAY start playing automatically (which would be great), but have not had a chance to test that yet. Set-up was a snap and menu system is user friendly with a fair amount of options; once it is set-up you rarely need to go back to change anything, so that is a good for seniors. The picture is full HD and when hooked up to external speakers the sound is very good.The built-in speakers in almost all flat screen TVs are pretty bad, so a sound bar or external speakers are a must unless TV is in a very small room.

Very good picture and internal DVD make this a great TV.

Not sure how to rate this tv as of yet... Looks like they may have sold us a re-packaged unit that is not working 100%. Store tells me I have to bring it back and then they will order me another one :( Not happy about that!!! It took 2 weeks for this one to get here....

this tv showed up at my home broken. spent 30 minutes hooking it up and mounting to the wall only to find the screen was totally messed up when we turned it on. took it to our local best buy and got a credit since this item was not available in store. wish it has worked out differently since we really wanted a large screen tv with a built in dvd player.

Older parents had a hard time figuring out all the remotes and settings for a system with s separate DVD player, internet ready, and cable box. This fits their needs perfectly. Very easy to set up, great sound and picture, and just pop a DVD in the built in player and voila! They are grateful and so are we.

Great TV for someone who isn't consumed into entertainment continuously. Has a great working DVD player that is built in and plays well.

While this set is only available on-line, the service was prompt and the set was as advertised. It is used in a small classroom/meeting room primarily for DVD play and Power Point. It is all we expected and more.

For picture quality (which I deem most important) this is a fantastic purchase. The only shortcoming is that it is not completely compatible with the Directv remote, which is really a problem with Directv.

Very easy to put together and hook up and easy to program

I have been shopping for a large TV/DVD combo and this is the biggest one i'm able to find. I love the price, picture and size. The set up was very easy.

Good tv - but poor customer service by best buy. Issues in shipping, informing that shipped product was in, and initial tv was severely damaged and not checked prior to release.

I bought one online. Arrived in very good time via UPS, set it up, etc., but broken. Had long confusing telephonic exchanges with BB customer service--they were all polite and helpful, but in the end gave me wrong info. BB had scheduled UPS pickup without advising me beforehand. Item returned via UPS. BB refunded. Tried second time, but this time, scheduled store pickup. Picked it up, set it up, etc., Broken. Sane problem. Big black blob on screen. But since I picked up from store, I had to go back to store myself and return. I am supposed to get credit on my credit card. That's good. But the time I wasted ordering waiting, speaking to customer service, repacking, going to local store to pick up, etc., etc., etc. was a big pain. Too bad. There aren't any other 42 inch tvv dvd combos out there, and it seems that this model is about to be discontinued.

Perfect TV for my office at work. It does not get used all that much.

DOTS ABOUT SIZE OF DIME IN SEVERAL PLACES. BLUE AND GREEN

I ordered this tv and had to wait for a week to receive it. I received it and 2 weeks later it started freezing. Well I was out of my warranty with best buy so I could not take it back. Really 15 days? What a disappointment. I have been with out my tv for two weeks because they do not know what is wrong. I will never buy anything from Best Buy again. Best Buy has certainly lost a customer.
