I asked several people at Best Buy for a 2 wire DSL filter. THIS was the only one they offered. It didn't work for us and was the incorrect filter. Though you would think it was correct. After returning one, then getting another we gave up and just called our service provider. Which solved our problem after two days of working on it. We didn't return it because it would cost us more in time and gas then it was worth. I can't say everyone would have this problem. I've known others with no problems with this.

I bought a new fax printer. I needed the fax set up asap and it wouldn;t work. The test page said noise and I've never had this problem before. I was told I needed one of these. Had to go back to store. It still got same error. Person at tech support send a fax and it worked. So it's unclear whether I actually need it for the fax to work but kept to be on the safe side. Was not informed when I bought that I would need this. Had to make 3 separate trips for my new fax purchase.

I was replacing an older filter that was over 10 years old and when I hooked this one to the phone line it stopped everything the phone even quit working. I do not recommend this.

I have Century Link phone service and this doesn't help. I was trying to use a fax machine

I bought this to hook up my HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M277dw to the phone line to use the fax. My DSL phone service is provided by Century Link. This DSL filter did not work whatsoever. PS Don't use Century Link either.
