I bought this and tried it out and took it back and upgraded to a better antennae. This one picked up about 15 channels, but the upgrade picks up 28 channels. It is a good value for the price.

We used this Antenna in our camper while camping in Northern Michigan. According to Antennaweb we should have been able to get 2 channels from the campground and that is exactly what we got.

Just connected it today, went from 4 channels to 25 with better clarity. Installed in second story and had no problems with tuning it in.

I own two of these. Was doubtful at first. But out of box, it works great. Plug it into power outlet, raise the two antenna bars, and let your tv run auto search. Channels clear, all channels in area (including some I didn't know existed). Am using both inside two different highrises in downtown Chicago. Neither are next to windows. Often goes on sale for half price; so recommend looking for that price.

Best Alternative for Ditching Cable.

This was the third antenna that I decided to try before installing an outdoor rooftop antenna. I set this up in the attic of my two story house using the existing cable wiring. The reception is exceptional with the amplifier plugged in (I have not tried it unplugged, too hot in Texas to work in the attics in the summertime). I live approximately 52 miles from a majority of the broadcast towers. The sales person told me that she received good reviews from previous customers. I didn't believe her but I gave it a try.

I recently bought an LCD and tried out this antenna as an option over getting cable. The first night I tried this I got air and HD quality channels in. About 80% of the channels looked pretty good. The weather did a big change (got a lot of snow) and the antenna just didn't perform. Frustrated, I returned this and got another powered antenna which got even less reception. I recently did some online research and ended up buying an indoor/outdoor powered antenna which I mounted outside my house. In my research I found that if you can point your antenna toward the TV towers your reception will have a much greater potential to improve. Good luck.

Works well for the price. It picked up almost 50 channels. All the local ones plus a few extras and they all come in very clear.

Instead of paying the high price of cable/satilite each month, we tired this antenna. It works greats. Picture is clear and we still get about 30 channels over the air.

I liked this unit because of its cost, for what I paid it was worth the risk, now I get the big broadcast channels from Green Bay (transmitted from 50 miles from me). I used the online website to find out which direction to face the unit, then bammo, new channels.
Thanks Best Buy.

I got a non-powered antenna that didn't have the rabbit ears (looked like a bat that you hung on the wall), I couldn't get NBC or CBS. If I move the rabbit ears around, I get all the stations I need. Welcome back to 1990, but it's cheaper than cable.

The cable tv service at my marina went out, we are switching to another service so I got this antenna until we are connected to the new service. I plugged it in to my digital tv, moved it around to the best location in my boat and received 14 digital stations, impressed to say the least. Better than I thought it would be, happy. If you get one, move it around, the stations are there, turn it until you get them, be patient.

55 dB works better than the 18 or 22 dB version I got from competitor ("rabbit ears" with hoop in center). Fairly small footprint. Looks good enough to leave on TV stand, although I had to put it on window sill and outside of aluminum blinds to get even better reception (in apartment in DC). I got it on sale and definitely recommend it if you've cut cable and need something for local channels and PBS.
