2nd attempt at high def antenna, previously bought a more expensive one and it was awful. I thought this one was garbage too, and quite ugly with the rabbit ears extended.
Before returning this one too, I decided to try it about 40 feet away from my TV using a coaxial cable, placed it in a window facing the towers and cannot complain at all!!
I had U verse and Comcast high def before and this is actually better!
B'bye cable bill!

Good but not great

I bought one of these thinking that an amplified antenna would provide a better picture and pull more channels than a cheaper model. While it did pull 5-6 channels, the picture quality on all was very pixellated and jerky. If you can stand a blocky, jerky picture and static sound, get one of these. Otherwise, look at something else.

Looked at a few and doubted how much better this would work. Once I switched to the digital over the analog, the reception was outstanding.

I've tried two other so call amplified antennas. This one really worked for me. The trick is to find the right position to get the best reception. near the window is best, you still have to play with the rabbit ears to get your best
reception. Bottom line is this works for me, and I live in a basement. I was about to give up on indoor antenna and get a outdoor. Thanks for this antenna now I don't have to drill holes in my wall.

I'm cancelling my cable!

I only had basic cable but was very unsatisfied. This device was very easy to connect, rescanning on my HDTV picked up all my local channels and a few that I didn't even get with cable. I have the antenna sitting on a windowsill, I get great reception. Picture has pixellated once in a while but no worse than my cable. For the price of 1 month of service, I can be cable-free for life.

Had decent reception for where the antenna was located, kind of bulky for the space I needed to fit it in, but otherwise a decent product for the money

I don't have cable, so I use "rabbit ears". My previous antenna was over 8 years old, so I decided to get a new one. I love the design of this and I love the fact that if it blends into the decor in my living room. The only negative thing I have to say about this is that it seems as though certain channels go in and out unless the antenna is sitting up high. That, to me, is a little annoying. Overall, it was a decent purchase and it works as described.

I bought 2 of these 5 months ago. When I first set them up I was able to pick up 17 stations. The one in my bedroom still gets good reception. The one in the living room did good until about 2 months ago. Now I am lucky to be able to get any stations. I keep moving it around, moving the antennas, etc, and can't get any channels. The show is usually going off before the picture will come on and stay on. My elderly mother is home all day and usually ends up without tv. The only channels that plays okay are the ones with the infomercials.

Location or device?

Not sure if its just my location and/or the fact that I live in a brick building, but reception is interrupted/staticy quite often. When uninterrupted, quality of picture is very clear.

Awesome Antenna!

We've tried out several antennas, and this one is by far the best! Picked up about 35 channels, with crystal clear reception on almost all of them. We occasionally experience minor interference, but nothing that causes disruption to viewing. Just place the antenna close to a window, and you're good to go! Very pleased with this purchase :).

IF YOU ONLY HAVE ONE TV AND AN OUTSIDE ANTENNIA THIS IS GREAT, I RETURNED MINE AND GOT AN Amplified OUTDOOR ONE, REALLY DEPENDS WHERE YOU LIVE ON HOW MANY CHANNELS YOU GET , AND WHEN THEY DO COME IN THEY ARE BETTER THAN BASIC CABLE AND I GOT 44 CHANNELS WHERE 19 ON BASIC CABLE. YOU REALLY NEED THE AMPLIFIED KIND TO BOOST THE SIGNAL . I HAVE A 1 FT ONE THAT COST 59.99 AND IT DOES ALL 4 OF MY TVS THREW THE WIRES THAT CABLE USED. I GOT THIS THINKING I WOULD GET MORE CHANNELS, BUT YOU CAN ONLY GET WHATS IN THE AIR . AND I HAVE HD 1080 P , CABLE DIDN'T GIVE ME DIGITAL . I THINK THIS IS TOO MUCH MONEY FOR AN INDOOR ONE .

Works great in D.C.

While this is not a total substitute for cable or satellite, it is totally worth $40 if you live near a broadcast tower. Do some research online first to find out how close you are to HD towers. I live in the D.C. metro, approximately 7 miles from downtown D.C. where the HD towers are located. We get CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox and PBS all in beautiful HD, and about 20 other channels. Some of the other channels are in foreign languages. We are scheduled for a Direct TV install, but with all the snow now, we're using this antenna for a couple of months. HD signals are beautiful on my 42" HD TV. For those who don't like this antenna, I bet they don't live close enough to HD towers. I plan to use this antenna in a bedroom after Direct TV is installed to save a little money. I am totally happy with this antenna.

Just bought this antenna yesterday at the Tempe, AZ Best Buy. I was looking for another antenna but this store did not carry the one that I was looking for. One of the Associates came over to help me and refered this antenna to me. On his recommendation I purchased it. You can't go wrong with this one! Once I hooked it up it pulled in all of the stations.

Replacement for Cable for Locals

I gave up Charter Cable almost 2 years ago. I recently purchased this item to receive local channels. It works marvelously!! I have HD reception of all my local channels, for less than the cost of one month of cable! Take it out of the box, plug it into a wall socket and the television, and you're good to go - so glad I found this!

Great antenna for the price

This antenna is excellent. My wife and I have it set up in our basement and we get a huge array of channels all very clear. The price is pretty low and I don't think any of the other options that were there would have allowed us to get such a great signal from the middle of the basement.

I live in a very remote area and had already two other non-amplified antennas without much luck. This antenna works great, I am now able to receive ALL of the HDTV stations in my area. The antenna does need to be adjusted from time to time but that is to be expected. Also, it works better when placed off to the side of the TV rather than behind it. Anyone that had issues with it should have tried that. If you try this antenna and don't get any stations, the antenna is surely not the issue because this one works awesome. I would recommend this antenna to anyone who is ready to cutoff that expensive DirecTV
