    Unbelievable Picture

This unit was so inexpensive compared to cable and the reception was excellent. I am less than 10 miles from the broadcast towers, so this unit was perfect for me. The picture quality is unbelievable. I show it to everyone who comes to visit and they are stunned at the quality, and that people don't generally know that free digital TV is available in general.

    Horrible for the price

Bought for $39.99 to hope to get more basic stations over my cheap $4 antenna. No Luck. No extra stations at all and this one requires being plugged in to the wall where my cheapo doesnt. Will be taking this back.

    Not a strong signal

I live about 25 miles from most local stations, and this antenna did not pick up any of them. I was able to get one channel that was not in English broadcast about 10 miles away. The product info did not specify the range of this antenna, but the salesperson told me I had a shot at getting reception because of the signal booster. I returned and will be picking up an antenna with a better range.

Satisfied to the max with this $40 dollar purchase

The HD quality and overall experience exceeded my highest expectations. Watching the Sprint Cup night race, which pushed me to try this after cancelling ridiculous price hikes in cable service!! Hasn't skipped a beat half way through the race! No pixel distortion.... sitting at a consistent %40 percent signal strength! Highly recommend!

(Kinda) Works but Coathangers Work Better

    Posted .

I did a side by side comparison of this antenna and the one that you can build yourself out of coathangers. Search YouTube for "Coat Hanger HD Antenna" and you should find it. I compared the number of channels and the signal strength as indicated by my TV. The coathangers won. Enough said.

    no difference in reception

At 1st my new digital tv wouldn't get a station. Then I hooked up the amp and got almost all of them. BUT, when I UNhooked it, I still had all of my stations -2. When I hooked it back up my reception was no better than it was without the amp and those 2 stations never came back EVEN at different locations with the house.

    Terrible Antenna

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I replaced my un-amplified antenna with this one because I thought it would boost my signal enough to get the local channels in better. Specifically, FOX. I'm was on the hairy edge of my other one. (~25-30 miles from source, Appleton to Green Bay) Even though it's powered, it performs worse than my other one and is extremely picky on the direction and placement by my TV. DON'T BUY THIS!!!

    Suboptimal antenna

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Advertised with a 55 db gain, this RCA antenna showed little difference in picture with amplification on or off. It works fine as standard rabbit ears, as far as that will take you, but it won't pull in those far stations or sharpen the local ones like you might expect. On the upside, it is nice looking and has a small footprint so it takes up little real estate. But I don't think those qualities combined with the suboptimal performance warrant the purchase price.

Antenna's still cannot bring in reception

Started out trying this less expensive antenna and was able to get a couple of local channels but that was it. Tried another antenna that was twice the price of this one and got nothing so you be the judge. Very disappointing in the year 2011 that no one can make an antenna that can bring in reception. Just wanted it for the major networks. Just wanted to get away from the choke hold of Comcast!
