I would say this would be a 5 star but the app will sometimes lose connection with the remote and will have trouble reconnecting. Besides that its pretty simple if you're savvy with technology. The app is laid out very well for each different connecting item. The simple remote would be better if i had included a source button, but its not that big of a deal. It was not very hard for me to connect my whole house. I mainly have Samsung products so that was probably what made it so easy, but it had no trouble connecting to my cable box. The app lets you control every aspect imaginable which is nice. It was a great buy for a smart connected entertainment system!!

For those that don't have Smart/Connected devices yet, this little gadget I imagine would be pretty cool. It connects via Bluetooth to your iPad/iPhone/Android Device and via the free Nuvo app, basically converts commands from your mobile device into IR commands (the same way your regular TV remote works) so that your TV and home theater equipment can be controlled. If you've already got an Apple TV or Smart/WiFi connected TV it's likely you already have the ability to control these devices from your phone. If this Nuvo had come out a few years ago, it would've been amazing back then! One complaint I do have is that the Nuvo hardware itself flashes blue whenever a command is sent. This is nice in theory, I think - it lets you know the command was received and sent successfully, but in reality, the blue flashing is really annoying, especially in dark home theater like situations.

This needs quicker response and more powerful app to control it. Would be nice if there was also an optional hardware remote if phone isn't handy

I bought this device with hopes of controlling multiple video and audio devices. I downloaded the iPad and iPhone apps. The iPad app had a few extra functions while the iPhone app had simple remote control functions. The app controls only provided basic functions such as volume, channels, and source. I was hoping the app and device provided advanced controls to replace my Logitech Harmony remote. If you compare the retail price of the RCA Nevo and the Logitech Harmony, you are better off to go with the Logitech remote.

This is a great concept for a remote... small, sits atop your table or desk out of the way, simple keypad... but that is where it ends... it is not compatible with many systems and there is no known fix for that inadequacy. I guess I should have read the reviews prior to buying, trying and returning it... so beware of the inability to fit into your system and the disappointment of it not working.

It is excellent in the fact its very easy to set up. I give it a 3 star because sometimes the Bluetooth connection doesn't connect. Another thing, if you use the device to turn it off, sometimes it comes right back on. But the set up and convenience excellent.

the app is a bit slow and i feel like the forced profile system is an unnecessary imposition. the templates are useful but i would enjoy more freedom with the software interface. that being said the customization abilities are all there within. it's just a pain to setup some of the more advanced functions. plenty of codes and connectivity as an ir blaster. bluetooth is reliable with good range as well. at 19.99 i give it 4.5 stars and would recommend this item it's quite useful. extremely high value vs a fancy universal remote with rf for example. i can still hear things regardless of my line of sight so, i found this to be a convenient device. im using it, i'm keeping it.

I needed to turn the volume up and down and my receiver off and on from my pool area. The Remote that came with the receiver would not work from my pool area so I use this to reach my receiver for my pool area and it works great.

Absolutely terrible product, hard time pairing with most devices. Once you get it Paired, it's only good for certain functions. It couldn't do much over then volume on my Denon receiver. My old note 3 and the smart remote app are light years ahead of this garbage product

Still trying to set it up with my components. I like the look and feel of the device. Will use via my IPad .

I purchased this to control my Pioneer AV Receiver along with Samsung BlueRay Player, Samsung TV & Infinity DVR. It works well with the individual devices once devices are on but has difficulty switching between devices (i.e.: switch from TV viewing to watch movie on BlueRay) as it doesn't consistently switch each device making it that I have to find the individual device remote. It's great for just controlling a couple of devices such as a TV & Cable box but I don't suggest using it if you are using a separate receiver for audio and other devices such as games, BlueRay players and audio players....

Don't expect this to control a lot of devices, it is useful to control your tv while you are not in the same room but does have limitations

I desperately wanted this to work. I wanted a central remote to work with my tv, dvd player and TiVo, especially for times that I can't find one of the remotes. I couldn't get the Nevo to pair with any of my devices. With one of them, it said I had to order a separate "bridge" product to get it to work. Definitely returning this item.

I purchased this device when it was advertised on clearance for $20 and I'm very happy with the purchase. The iPhone app for this device has not been updated in nearly a year but still works in iOS 10.

I tried to connect this with my android phones; one connected and one didn't. I tried many times it still couldn't connect. The one connected worked great.

I thought this would be great to have as a static remote on my nightstand. Honestly it doesn't work that great. My satelite uses RF so maybe if it had that option it would work much better.

The unit was easy to set up and works as advertised. I got it on a daily deal and it is worth that price but I would not pay the regular price for this unit.

I really expected - and wanted - to love this unit, but despite numerous attempts with several different devices, it never succeeded at recognizing any of them via bluetooth, and so (sadly) I was forced to return the unit.

Works great on devices that connect, can't get Samsung sound bar to work from physical remote. Everything works fine from phone and ipad.

This Universal remote is a wonder. All my gadgets are controlled by this one little thing Totally recommend this to others.
