Reach Antenna is always working to strengthen your signal, but it is important to know that doesn’t always translate into “bars” on your screen. Because of this it may not be apparent that your are getting a stronger signal. To make it a bit more clear we have to get a bit technical. Your phone’s signal strength is measured in dB’s, and with the logarithmic (non linear) dB scale you can have a 2 dB improvement (which gives you a 1.5x signal improvement) while still not having the phone show an extra “bar”. This means that often times performance is seen when you have the ability to make and hold calls in areas where you were previously unable to.

It is important to know that we designed our Reach Antennas to be used (1) with a case and (2) also when held in a hand or up against a head. We have tested it extensively and created a video documenting our testing. We would like you to view it as it speaks to your concerns. Please be advised that Reach Antenna is designed to be used with non-metal cases and we do not suggest using it with a mophie case.

The metal in your iPhone is not an issue at all. Reach Antenna is designed to be used with a case, but not with cases containing metal so the sales person may have been referring to an external case. We don’t suggest using it with any case that has metal in it such as a battery extending case.
