Blusey & Solid...

Don't expect 'Wicked Sensation' part 2, but a continuation of 'Sun Red Sun.' These song are a little slower, and have a bluesy vibe to them. Standout songs include #of course# Automatic Fix, and Testify. War is a long rocker with an extended solo. "The Ledge" is a great song, slower, and melodic, almost like a ballad. There are a few songs that are a little bland, and a little lack luster, but still a solid performance. Features Jeff Pilson on bass and Brian Tichy on drums. I purchased the Japanese import version with a bonus track called "Live It Up."

Lynch Mob Surprisingly Strong....

Lynch Mob is one of those bands that really never went away. Their first 2 cds released in 1990 & 1992 were excellent. Then we were subject to a string of endless releases from George...some solo work & some under the Lynch Mob name. It always made you wonder who the heck is even in the band now? It was like an endless string of musicians came thru the band. Well let it be known that Lynch Mob is back & surprisingly good. His band is rock solid especially with Oni Logan back on vocals. I tell ya, I saw the band on tour this summer & I could not believe how great they still were!! Oni`s vocals were so strong & the band was rock solid. Of course George can still shred but he can also write great songs as well. If they are coming to your town check them out. This is a STRONG release by Lynch Mob..maybe the best effort since their 1992. Check it out!!

I felt I picked up Red Sun just a few months ago, so I was surprised to see this in the rack at Best Buy. Being a long time Lynch/Oni fan, I had to pick it up despite limited funds. While there is no single track I want to jam out on, listening to the entire disc is easy. That is, no track is filler. I have it on random/repeat at work all day long. I do enjoy the maturity in Lynch's guitar sounds as he is expanding to new tone territory on several tracks -- way to go, George!

Love George, looking for a melody

At this stage of George Lynch's career, the release of a new disc probably is not going to change many minds. If you are a fan, you'll find plenty of slippery, slithery, Lynch guitar to satisfy. There is little here likely to grab the attention of a non-believer.
As a fan of George for over 30 years, I'd place Rebel on the lower end of his work. The guitar sounds good, and Brian Tichy bangs away with energy underneath it all, but I have never been impressed by Oni Logan as a vocalist. I know that puts me in the minority among Lynch Mob fans, and I acknowledge that Oni has a decent voice, but I find his delivery forced and artificial.
Rebel is a collection of riffs and solos with a lot of potential, in search of some gripping melodies to turn them into songs, and Logan just doesn't deliver. Outside of The Ledge, where potential and reality meet, the songs tend to be dull and repetitive.
I'd go with 3 1/2 stars if it was an option, because George's solo on War is worth at least 1/2 star by itself. Lynch has still got it. If that's enough for you, buy it.

George Lynch returns to early Lynch Mob form with Oni Logan as his singer. They have matured and evolved as evidenced by the bluesy feel in many of the grooves. Lynch shows off his unique guitar work on plenty of solos and the songs have his trademark vibe.

Another great release from Lynch Mob. The last few releases have all been pretty strong. This is no different. As long as they keep putting out releases like this, I'll keep buying.

Lynch never seems to rest, which is a good thing, if you are a serious guitar fan. The guy sounds just as good now and maybe even better, than he did back in the late 80's. Oni Logan on the vocals, fits very nice as well. A "bluesy", smooth sounding disc that I would rate as an 8 out of 10.

I have been a huge George Lynch fan ever since seeing him play with Dokken in the eighties. This album has so much to offer and George's signature style of play is always evident. I was hoping for a Dokken reunion, but I am always happy to be able to hear his music through Lynch Mob.

Have been a fan of Lynch Mob since the beginning. Oni's vocals are strong as ever and George continues his six-string sonic assault. A great set of tracks that showcase their various talents. If you like other Lynch Mob releases this one should not disappoint.

Lynch Mob is a clasic rock band that has respectively changed their dynamics to sound current- Lynch still uses his catchy riffs to pull the listner in without trying to recreate a thing of the past making this an overall cool album for Lynch and company.

If you liked the other Lynch Mob CD's, you will love this one also. George Lynch continues to impress with his tasteful playing and Oni gets more bluesy with every song he sings. The combination of the two lead to one killer CD.

The songs are a little too slow, blues/rock for my tastes and don't speak to me. I was hoping for more riff-oriented metal from George and company (after all, half the band is half of Dokken...Lynch and Jeff Pilson). But not giving up on it yet...I'll give a few more listens.

This recording didn't really do anything for me. George Lynch going through the motions.
